There is always a romance between a woman and two men who compete for the girl. One guy is a man who loves the girl dearly. Would do anything for her. Helps her when she is most vulnerable and sticks his neck out for her. Meanwhile the other guy is a dirtbag. He manipulates the girl. Lies to her. Threatens her (even with rape), kidnaps her and every single fucking time the woman chooses the scumbag. All romance stories written by women today are like this. I just roll my eyes and think to myself; "Girl, you have issues."

I like when they try to justify it later too. Like how in Twilight, Jacob is the most stable option but by the end of the books he's a pedophile. Makes it easier to say he was actually the wrong choice all along.

I’ve noticed in my experience with some women my age that they literally do not know how to take care of themselves in the most basic of ways. I have yet to meet a woman who knows who to cook for herself I typically do all the cooking. I’m not saying a woman’s duty is all the cliche household chores but I truly wonder how they survive on their own sometimes.

Historically, Women never had to really "grow up" in an evolutionary sense. They were at the camp, playing and teaching children, preparing meals, stitching clothes. If a rival tribe attacked and their Men lost, if they were submissive they would not be killed.

So in a wide population sense. Most of the Women should retain these traits.

I don't think that's always been the case. Historically, there's always been some "wise woman" in some kind of tribal setting, someone to set the young girls straight. Even someone to put the young men on the path to manhood given she herself might have been someone's wife at one point.

I'm not saying there weren't exceptions. The Empresses of the Japanese 9th century for example. But generally in the past, the realm of strength and violence to control outcomes was the realm of Men. Today we have the realm of Social Media. Soft power. The realm of Women.

More often it was women who were devoting their own experiences to the next generation, passing on knowledge of child-rearing, house care, and other important responsibilities. All very adult stuff and essential to the good of society. The phrase, "Behind every man is a strong woman" is true, but not in the way people today like to imagine. In reality, the contributions women have had in society is instrumental in making a strong society, even if those contributions go largely unrecognized.

And usually it was enough that society was made better for it than one be recognized. Only the vain seek recognition for doing what duty calls them to do.
