Mass Effect (4?) - N7 Day

I agree with everything else, but this especially. A 7ish foot tall minotaur man constantly bringing up how he wants to fuck everything isn't funny. It would be terrifying. It's dialogue written by alien people.

They absolutely ruined the Qunari over time. Very telling that the only way they try to make characters "interesting" is to make them obsessed with fucking.

One thing that for sure won't make a return is 75% of the renegade options being comically over the top racism against xenos.

No way that would fly today.

They might make it work if they set up a narrative where the xenos had it coming. Like making the xenos a stand-in for Christians or Trump voters. Then they'll encourage you to be as violent as you can.

And if BioWare would return that, they would instead preach about modern day systimatic racism or some stupid retarded bullshit

Remember in ME2, the murder Asari were supposed to be incredibly rare, the only two were Samara's daughters, then it suddenly became convents full of them because Banshees.
Same with the Rachni. You kill the queen in ME1, well somehow the Reapers found another one.

Indeed. It was already the case by the time of ME2 when they neutered Ashley.

"From the river to the sea, Rannoch will be free"

Bioware even cut Ashley dialogue about Shepard's death/resurrection, because we can't have white religion in our videogames.

To this day it's absolutely mind-boggling that Ashley (Vermire survivor) is talking to a man who fucking died and all she can say is, "You're working for Cerberus? How could you?!"

Imagine reuniting with the guy who saved the galaxy in the previous game, was brought back to life after being vaporized and the first thing you say is, "So, I hear you're a racist now..."

There's actually a direct reference to beastility in the game, in ME2, the ships counciller - and potential designated pole dancer, lol Bioware so horny - is suspect of spreading scale itch or something, which Mordin says you can only really get from fucking Varren. Mass Effects horny had some real tonal whiplash for characters you were supposed to take seriously. Like Miranda hooking up with randoms in seedy hotel rooms, and Tali wearing a full body vibrator.

Miranda's made a bit of sense in that she was selecting people to just be sperm donors because she wanted a kid, hooking up with those who had clean history and genetics. But then you see she can't have a kid. Miranda really got the shaft in the series since she was portrayed by an actress who likely had a outside schedule which meant not a lot of change could be done with how haphazard ME3 was put together, and then you add in she's the sexy one and even in 2012 people were being faggots about her catsuit and ass. She never had a chance compared to the developers having their asari and quarian waifu.

The saddest thing of all is even for as weak as the face modeling was for Miranda and other females, it's still miles better than what we're fucking seeing in current year +8.

If Bioware had the writing chops, they could have ME4 take place in a distant corner of the universe, where you play as the original creators (Prometheans? it's been a while). Who are trying to survive an onslaught from other alien races. Think OG Gears dark, gritty survival horror, mixed with space opera of Halo:CE.
The trilogy can be the Prometheans trying to get back to Earth to warn them that the Reapers are really the good guys and wiping them out would unleash a virus/disease/ The Flood from Halo-style aliens that would wipe out the universe.

The reapers are the cleansers for when a race/galaxy becomes infested. Good guy option is finding a way to kill the flood and save the people, bad guy option is holocaust in space.

They won't do that though, they'll have a twist where DA4 is ackshually set on a world in a galaxy that's part of the ME universe and Hawke et al find a relay and use magic to defeat the reapers.

It'd be cool all by itself if Shepherd just crashed the Normandy on Thedas and got wrapped up in some war against the Darkspawn. Fighting medieval dragons with future tech sounds pretty awesome.

Oh and I just remembered my other bitch about Inquisition, when they nerfed the one fun mage class, the Knight Enchanter, because people whined it was too good for a single-player game. Another reason to hate BioWare's fanbase. I remember when they tried to do that to the ME3 Multiplayer team over reload cancelling or the weird Level IV Incendiary Ammo and Warp interaction that caused bosses to melt and the balance team told them to pound sand. A stand alone remaster of ME3 Multiplayer would be so damn good, even Andromeda's was good by the end, but too little too late.

What if the darkspawn are the flood and come from an alternative dimension/plane of existence and the Reapers were trying to stop them/created by darkspawn.

Either way, yeah, ripping hordes of darkspawn apart with futuristic weapons and magic would be pretty cool. Energy swords, magic arrows, pulse shot-guns and the like.

I want this game now. If the aesthetic was done right, it would be cool as fuck.

There was a (presumably) cancelled PS4 game called Deep Down that I think was going to be something like that (obviously unrelated). The idea was some dumb shit like it's a post apocalypse city full of fantasy monsters and the player is a souls style medieval knight but there's also old tech and whatnot.
It looks fairly janky and I like your idea of a kitted out Shepherd in a fantasy setting better.

It's quite similar to the way the genophage went from a nuanced topic to ME3 treating curing it as the wholesome unambiguously good option. Despite probably being a disaster for the galaxy should the reapers actually be defeated.
The writers didn't really care about anything but their big emotional payoffs, no matter how much they butchered the plot threads in the process. And it kind of worked. people still talk about Tuchanka and the like as the high points of the game.
I think you're being a bit unfair to ME3 here. The genophage cure is only presented as the "good" option when both Wrex and Eve survive. With Wreav as the Krogan leader it is heavily implied that he'll just create another Kogan horde once the reapers are defeated. Say what you will about the rest of the game, but the Tuchanka arc was really well done.

Remember in ME2, the murder Asari were supposed to be incredibly rare, the only two were Samara's daughters, then it suddenly became convents full of them because Banshees.
To be fair, the idea that there's only three murder asari in the entire galaxy and they'reall sisters when there's billions of asari was retarded to begin with, so I don't mind the monastery.

If you cured the genophage, you 100% were setting up the Krogan reich. There's no other ending except the Krogan just going ham after like 100 years.

Also, pre-spaceflight, did the Asari just fuck animals? If they scissor each other, it keeps increasing the chance of making a murder baby right? So how did they avoid becoming a species of nothing but murder asari?
The entire point of Wrex and Bakara is that they're going to beat the Krogan into something resembling civilized behavior so they don't wind up at war with the entire galaxy again. Assuming he's still alive in ME2 you can see him doing his best to reform Krogan society to something that isn't pants-on-head-retarded. That whole Tuchanka arc is less about the Krogan and more about Wrex attempting to save his species from itself. If Bakara is dead and Wreav is in charge, you can actually convince whoever would have gone up to deploy the cure to just walk away citing the fact the Krogan will continue to Krogan.

Leaving aside what was mentioned before about it being so rare they were almost a myth before they needed Banshees everywhere, inbreeding was the biggest cause, and naturally there's zero chance of inbreeding when an entirely different species is the father. One of the planet descriptions in ME3 talks about a heavy emphasis on exogamy and an almost instinctual aversion to consanguinity happening.

Sure, in theory, but in reality that's not going to happen. Wrex is going to try, and he's going to make a Krogan civilisation, but the Krogan breed like rats and live for a thousand years. They're not dumb, but they are aggressive, and expansionist. Wrex's Krogan are going to be fine, but the hundred other little empires that come pouring out of Krogan mothers are sure as shit not going to be.

Good thing Wrex doesn't like backing down from a fight.

No, they made a cyborg facsimile of a queen. That's why it sperges out if adopted; it's got Reaper parts built into it and has no ability to resist indoctrination.

It's also heavily implied that patriarchy--mostly seen by Wreav's sexism--is the reason why the Krogan do galactic wars and if female Krogan had more political influence, they'd be able to moderate their behavior. So Eve is a necessary component to Krogan moderation and Wrex alone can't actually fix their civilization. He can make a pretty good empire out of it since he actually understands the value of military intelligence, but it's still a threat to the Council races at the end of the day.

They try to handwave the Ardat Yaksi gene as a recessive gene that the Reapers experimented with to activate, hence Banshees.
