IIRC (and mind you, it's been three years and my memory isn't the greatest), PPP's second appearance was around the time Nick started getting a lot closer to Ralph, and that left enough of a bad taste in my mouth to where I was willing to be a lot more critical of Rekieta than I was previous. I honestly don't recall what Suicide2020 and I discussed.

What funny to me is that the Ralph shit was only a tiny portent of things to come. It's almost "quaint" to discuss any of that now. In the years since, he's gotten way worse than I, or I think anyone (to include most of Nick's early critics). thought he would get. Yeah, I saw cracks in the façade, as said as much, but to be perfectly honest with you, if you had told me back in 2020 that he would be ramming a bottle up his ass, going to a Jamaican sex swinger resort, or defending Vito, I would have thought that insane. He seemed like an outsider to his own show in that moment. Frankly, from the other bits I saw, he seemed like an outsider on a lot of it. Which would make sense given his lack of coverage and, I assume, knowledge. I may be wrong on the knowledge, but his track record leads me to that. My problem with PPP, and from everything I've seen it's the same for many others, is how sanctimonious he was back then around the NP2 stuff. I think that the Surfer breakup really humbled him in a way he needed because he's no longer the guy trying to be more "correct" and better than everyone, he could make all the good points he wants but when he came off as a jackass it was hard to take him seriously. He has finally crossed the line from defending Vito's humor to actively engaging in, uh, let's call it "Vito-style comedy". The child he was talking about was prepubescent and therefore clearly did not have any "fetishes".

I actually had a little bit too high an opinion of Nick and thought that it was wrong to say that he couldn't cover this trial without inserting extraordinarily creepy sexual commentary.
