What's more, imo, this thread has fallen into ill repair. There are two threads for supposed good reasons: keep it factual and actual here, keep the snide potshots in the other thread. I'm all for talking smack at each other, I love it. But this thread has become a cesspool.

I like to be able to keep up with the latest updates, but that's not easy in htis thread because of the casual bs'ing. I also like to be able to take shots at each other, but you're making that irritating by having to split that between two threads.

Is it possible to get a separate thread for lolcow behavior related to this conflict? Because I love that shit, but I don't want to clutter up this thread and it doesn't really fit in the other thread either. Would it go in Community Watch?

Same here, I met a bunch of hippie Jewish artists/musicians when I was living in Byron Bay and they were all about that peace and unity thing, not a fan of the Israeli state.
That October 7th rave massacre hit them very hard. They knew some of the captives/victims due to similar sector of music (a lot of indie hippie artists attended). It was like an epiphany really, and suddenly Bibi's "safety through security" made sense to them.
The very leftist ones I know have mostly switched sides, and the couple of Bibi simps I knew from work now hate him because of the obvious security oversight. His stupid Xeet attempting to shift the blame didn't do him any favours. If anything, people dislike him even more.

I'm amazed how dog shit Hamas is at warfare, this is probably the lowest IQ conflict initiative I've ever seen.

Hard disagree, considering that Israel is a world power in their own right, Hamas was able to not only massacre a bunch of people there but to also infiltrate and hold up to this point shows their advantage in gorilla (you know, like a mindless ape... Guerrilla) warfare. They're not going to win this match but they'll probably win the war. If the IDF gets total Hamas death, then congratulations, something even worse will fill this power vacuum. I think Israel's strategy is to simply make sure Hamas operates in a state of limbo. They're confined to doing stupid shit like tossing fireworks that hardly do anything.

I can confirm. That description by the IDF is accurate. What the soldier in that video said is completely false. I have no idea how he came to that conclusion and they should fire whoever gave the video the green light.

Middle Eastern countries like Iran only attack through proxy groups for a reason. "Glassing Tel Aviv" or deploying a nuke in Israel is immediate suicide for the country responsible.
