Chainsaw Man - Peak Fiction in the making

I feel like it’s spinning its wheels a bit, but so far it’s a continuation of Denji from Part 1. In part 1 he was a dog that got treats, now he’s a human being with most of his needs met, but still unsure if he wants to extraordinary or “normal”.

Public safety is effectively caging him by forcing him to decide because they really can’t cage him any other way even with the Devil Weapons.
The entire theme of this part is basically a continued adolescence. Asa is more in tune with Part 1 Denji, but her Makima is Famine and her Power is War. Denji by contrast is deciding what he wants now that he’s “free”.

I want to know what’s up with the other Chainsaw Man. If it’s Chainsaw Man Devil or just the remains of Denji when he threw his Pochita outside of him.

Well the other Chainsaw Man I think is likely the Chainsaw Man Devil or some bullshit done with the Justice Devil since Fakesaw man claimed his powers came from them.

But we'll have to wait and see.

Just found out two days ago that Chainsaw Man received the Box Set Vol. 1-11 treatment

Have to say art, the cover art for it looks pretty cool.

I'm not convinced that Fakesaw Man was the knockoff who claimed he got his powers from Justice, mostly because no one in the cult would be brave enough to try to hold off Falling.

I think they'd be in Fami's inner circle and most of the cult members we've seen are average teenagers or some of the hybrids. While the knockoff is more or less much more muscular than the average members we've seen who are more in the dark compared to the adults who run the church and the latest chapter has the Justice Devil involved as well with the cult.

We have official hit the big plot reveal for part 2.

Shit’s going down.

So much is happening and it's amazing that Fujimoto keeps releasing consistently good chapters that make you want more.

Here's my schitzo prediction.

Smart devils realize they don't want humans to go extinct, because dead humans aren't afraid of them. Devils die permanently when they're forgotten. Human extinction is one of the only ways to kill primals.
So we have at least two primals (Falling and Fire), probably more, trying to stop Death.

So far, the Horsemen's opinion on humans has been, "They're certainly here." I see no reason Death would be different.
I predict that Death is going to show up on Earth, see a band of primals plus Yoru and Pochita ready to fight, decide it's not worth the effort, and go right back to Hell.
(That being said, she's probably going to cause nine digits of casualties just by doing that).

I also read someone predicting that Fire Devil is going to look like Agni, and I'm all for it.

Well, things certainly escalated last few chapters honestly felt meandering, but I see the accelerator has been smashed. My only doubt is if Octopus guy is there to kill Asa to remove super buff War from the equation or if he's just distracting her to let the fear of chainsaw scale up during the blood bath. I'm honestly kind of lost like Denji on who is on what side and what they want.

I do love the double bait-and switch. It looks like a big fight is coming, the it suddenly looks like it was stopped before it could even start, only for the twist to happen and shit goes down bigger than expected.

It's good, if you like shonen it's a must read.

Currently the manga is a much better choice. The anime only has 12 episodes and doesn't even get to the good parts. Also, the style they picked for the anime was very controversial and a large part of the fanbase didn't like it. Personally I think the anime failed at adapting the more comedic aspect of the series.

Also, if you are the kind of person that doesn't like to follow mangas from week to week, then you should stop reading after finishing Part 1 of the manga, it has a complete and satisfying story. Part 2 is mostly it's own thing that is still currently on-going and will probably keep being serialized for a few years still.
