What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

I kinda like Grim Beard for his longer form videos about old games, but man he's clearly one of those smarmy snarky too-cool-for-school kids (meaning he's probably like 28 but never grew out of his high school psychological defenses for being bullied) with a sarcastic tone and he lets his personal political opinion (read: current year white men bad trannies and feminism good) bleed into his reviews a lot, especially lately.

It's kinda sad to see but then again this dude paints his nails.

I like the subject matter of his videos but his skits are painfully unfunny and often his videos come way too close to him just retelling the plot. Every now and then I watch one of his videos and remember why I stopped watching in the first place.

My issue is that he's jumping on a bandwagon of "popular to hate" while misrepresenting events to paint Urban as some kind of loon who deserves to get de-platformed by children. And how his content is somehow wrong because he lashed out at retards dogpiling him.

And note that I am not a fan of Urban. I do however hate the hypocrisy and the fundamental misunderstanding of what horror is or "should be," peddled by zoomers and trannies. I don't think lashing out at the retards will do him favors but I understand where he's coming from considering everyone is just shitting on him like they are the sentinels of horror.

I thought horror was supposed to horrify. I had hoped that Wendigoon actually understood that of all people so it's disappointing that he's jumping on the bandwagon of needless bashing instead.

Neebs Gaming after Thick44 passed away. I knew them from their Battlefield Friends series where four animated friends talk about the Battlefield series such as player behavior, bugs, and overpowered weapons. Nothing personal against them OR their content; the games they play just don't interest me.

Sometimes, you could just unsubscribe when the content they create doesn't interest you anymore.

I had a similar situation to this, back when I was in to StarCraft 2. A channel that I watched, LifesAGlitchTV, decided to move away from doing SC2 content. But I did respect them because they at least announced that change, whereas with another SC YouTuber, HuskyStarcraft, suddenly deleted his channel outright, without warning, to focus on making content with his GF/Wife (?) as the focus.

However, it does appear that LifesAGlitchTV did return to doing StarCraft content again, and despite a bit of shilling in their new videos, their casts still are as good as their previous ones. I also heard that Husky also may have returned to doing StarCraft content again, but I didn't confirm it myself yet.

Yeah I'm curious what Emp did too, I quite like his videos, he's good at hooking you on a video about a topic even if it normally doesn't interest you all that much. I think I found his channel from his NASCAR videos but most of his videos are still watch ASAP status for me.

Why would a sensationalist video on a creator's 2nd channel would get you to unsub from the main, content producing channel? If this was a main channel vid (with the same level of production) or a large chunk of a main, actually entertaining vid, I could maybe see the perspective.

Hell, Emp has done far worse, and I stuck around anyway. He and Rusty Cage did a parody financial advice channel called MoneySuckle that stopped uploading after a few episodes, and also Emp made a failed movie review channel that never picked up any steam. IIRC in the days of SOTY (circa 2018-2019) Emp and Mumkey argued about how it's difficult for brand new channels to go viral organically. Mumkey said it was hard to do these days, and Emp said it could be done easily if the content was original and fresh. They had a bet, and Emp said that he wanted to prove Mumkey wrong by creating a brand new unrelated channel whose premise was to read aloud negative IMDb reviews for award-winning films. The gimmick was that Emp would never promote the new channel at all nor even directly acknowledge its existence, and see if it could gain traction organically from unrelated people discovering it on their own.

To the surprise of no one, the channel only had a handful of subscribers, each video got triple-digit views at most, and the comments were people joking about how this is obviously just EmpLemon's failed attempt at making a secret channel. MoneySuckle was supposed to be the same thing, too: a brand new organic channel that wasn't promoted by Emp or Rusty, and of course it failed miserably as a result.

As cringey as everything as I described sounds, I still subscribe to Emp, follow him on social media, and anticipate his new uploads. He's not woke, a troon, a sexual predator, a scammer, or a lolcow -- he's just a decent content creator who often does some pretty dumb shit and makes mistakes.

I stopped watching Cartoonshi after his Loud House Movie review. It was the point when I realized he completely lost the personality that made me enjoy his videos in the first place.
He made a very entertaining breakdown of Owl House, tearing into everything wrong with it and modern cartoons in general. The jokes had just the right amount of edge, and I believe the video as a whole still holds up to this day. Unfortunately, because the show has a lesbian couple, he started getting homophobic comments. Not wanting to contribute to that, he did the most rational thing he could think of. Completely remove everything resembling humor from his videos.
Now he's making stuff on "The Corporate Treatment of LGBT Representation in Animation," and some My Little Pony fan he has some personal drama with. Maybe his content has improved recently, but the old Owl House video he made is still labelled by him as, "Outdated and offensive," so I doubt it.
An incredibly similar thing also happened to Dumbsville, but unlike Cartoonshi I have no idea what made him change. It's possible his videos weren't good to begin with. I haven't rewatched him recently.

Clicked on one of his videos for the first time this week in desperate search for old game content i didn't know already, peace'd out in under ten seconds into some cringe skit opening and hearing his stuffed-nose autist voice. I hate how often this happens when i look up videos that cover my interests, though i shouldn't be surprised, they are pretty autistic.

IIRC, he had a change of heart due to being in a shitty place when he made those previous videos. I don't know the exact details.
