In the past I have been pretty defensive of Jet since he did help make a show I love but the way he acted towards Frank during that twitter space was just disrespectful as fuck. Smacking and eating into the microphone as Franks bringing up key moments of the show that were left out.
im incredibly curious about the behind the scenes shit that frank was alluding to. frank called jet a faggot to another person that told jet, and it sounded like there was more that happened. i only skimmed the twitter space but i seriously doubt the specifics will ever come out.

Same, but his performance during this Twitter space was so fucking gay. I bet $100 he wasn't even eating wings, he was just smacking lips like a welfare queen to sound like he's so above it all. Why would you hop onto a Twitter space during a meal?

Most likely it's just Jet getting on everybody's nerves by being big-headed and thinking he's Kubrick, and firing the new editors because they "don't get his show". Nothing really cinematic or super interesting.

Agreed. Jet is not a lolcow. He's a weird guy but there isn't even close to enough material to make a thread on him. Lolcow does not mean "every person I dislike" that's never been what this site has been about.
Jet is a full on lolcow, Absolutely zero doubt. it's just this is basically his thread. When people stop caring about Fishtank, they'll stop caring about Jet.

The fun part about season 2 will be Jet flipping out and flailing when it's not as successful as the first one- and it won't be, this is just the way these things work.

That was absolutely raw seething. Unbelievable.

The only way he redeems himself if this is a elaborate bit that will be used to make the fake endings in season 2 believable.

I think my favorite point that Frank made was that they made millions of dollars off the show, there’s no excuse for shitty, half-assed editing with that kind of money to pull from.
Maybe Jet shouldn’t try to “learn as he goes” when working on a large project that people paid lots of money for, and maybe Sam doesn’t need to buy another sports car if it’s going to affect how much money can be put towards a product people paid for.

THE HASSLE VS JET SUMMARY

I went through and listened to it. The only parts that matter really are when Frank and Jet yell at each other. For convenience any direct quotes from Jet and Frank will be color coded. Time stamps will be marked as well. Anytime a big event happens or the topic changes course I will mark the time stamp. Hopefully the conversations are clear. There's very little Jet criticism from the fish. Things will be looked over and no amount of detailed writing will be able to fully capture the annoying tone Jet had, so I encourage people to listen to it if they are interested. I also want to thank @Aidan once again for recording the whole audio.

Jet quotes will be marked in RED. Example: "I'm Jet Neptune, and I love tranny cock."

Hassle quotes will be marked in BLUE. Example: “Jet is an ego driven greedy faggot, and I don’t want to work with him.”

Any other quotes that aren't marked are FT spergs asking question.

They start to argue at 14:00 to 24:35. The argument then picks up again from 1:00:00 to 1:06:30.
  • 0:00 Starts with a few FT fans talking about clans and the possibilities that they make for the show. Mainly talk about using bad names as clan names and the implications of becoming the top clan such as what rewards clans should get for being at the top
  • 2:30 Jet enters the space and encourages them to keep talking. Jet says that many of the ideas being suggested in the space have already been tossed around, and while the ideas they are specifically talking about won’t fit with the “current setting” they might do an alternative and increase the value of being in a clan.
    • Mentions that he wants clans fighting for “territory” in the house.
    • Random FT sperg asks about the possibility of an Asian host “JUST LIKE ON BIG BROTHER!!!”
    • Jet says that he would make the host Simon. FT spergs continue to talk about how heckin and cool and underrated Simon is while Jet disconnects due to being in an elevator.
    • Jet returns and says that the show is on youtube due to publicity, not ad revenue. He states that “having it on youtube is a sacrificial thing, and it exists for the people who didn’t watch season one live (no shit).
    • FT spergs talk about how the $60 was definitely worth it, which comes off as kind of a cope more than anything. It’s at this time that Jet Neptune gets chicken wings which he will chew through until he leaves.
  • 8:30 Jon enters the space. The mushmouth was pretty bad, it seems like everyone is treating him like a special ED kid. Asks Jet what he thinks of episode 6. “That’s a great question Jon :)
    • Fishtank sperg says that the addition of three editors on episode 6 made the pacing much better. Jet agrees. “The idea we were running on, which was incorrect for the record, is that Fishtank should be 22 minutes long, it should be standard comedy length. It should be like, uhhh, an episode of The Office. But ummm that’s just focusing on one emotion which is like comedy. I mean Fishtank has everything. So it’s a bit foolish to squeeze it down to thirty minutes, but by the time that we realized that we already had episodes in the can, so we made a change halfway through the season…”
    • He continues and says that other people feel rewarded for watching the original live stream while watching the episodes, and that that feeling was absent from the thirty minute cuts.
    • “The full cuts for the rest of the season will be all the footage that’s relevant to the story, whether that’s forty minutes, whether that’s an hour and a half, whatever, it will be there.”
  • 11:20 Jet starts talking about the production of season 2.
    • Mentions that season two is happening soon in about a month. Fishtank Sperg asks what date the second season will start. Jet says he cannot say what day. Other FT sperg ask if it will be Dec 16th, and Jet says it won’t be Dec 16th.
      • “It will be kind of a surprise for most people.”
    • Jet says he hired another editor that “edits laps around him”. He mentions that he’s good at directing the show but not a good editor. He says that they will listen to more fans and give the show far more breathing room.
  • 14:00 Enter Frank Hassle
    • Immediately Frank talks about how a lot of Frank Hassle stuff was missing from the latest episode. Give examples, Sylvia drama, Simon, and ASF speech.
    • Jet says that he increased the episode length and that he doesn’t know what to do past that. He mentions that one of his biggest regrets is leaving out the Vance Schizo skit. It’s clear Jet is trying to get Frank to calm down.
    • Frank responds that he definitely has some problems with the show, and that he “feels a certain kind of way about it.” Explains that Jet is leaving out classic moments of the show. Brings up how him talking to Fatty was left out.
    • Jet says to think narratively. “Dude, I mean, haha, what am I supposed to say here?” “What happened? Because there were people that were paid to edit the episodes and they were let go.” “Did you pay them?” “No, but I know one of my guys, who’s done my videos, was hired to edit my episode and he was fired.” “Are you ummm… ok. Dude, I mean what do you want me to say? Is this something you can explain to me in DM’s or privately?" “I’m asking for an explanation.” “Things get cut, get over it.” “I feel like a lot of stuff got cut, good stuff that people wanted to see. That people paid money for. A lot of people payed money for this shit.” “Dude, I mean we’re all acknowledging that the show is improving, and you’re like um, pouting… If there’s anyone I’m actually apologetic to it’s Vance, it’s not you man I’m sorry.” “That’s fine, I’m not asking you for an apology. I just thought it was odd.”
      • Jet goes on to say he’s trying to correct the problems and that Frank complaining about how he doesn’t have screen time comes off as pouty. Frank responds that it’s good he’s trying to improve, but, “It’s been pretty trash so far. People didn’t pay $40 to have two edits and a thirty minute episode.”
    • Jet says that Frank is just saying all of this because it’s the popular opinion and that it will be the last time he “steps into the firing range.”
  • 19:00 Conversation switches to how Frank was casted as a villain.
    • Jet’s excuse seems to be that the Fatty and Frank moment was left out because it didn’t frame Frank as a villain like he is as an irl troll. Frank responds that he’s more upset at all of the entertaining stuff involving him is being cut.
      • “Frank, can you name one other thing from a different person that got cut or is it just your parts that got cut that you’re upset about?” “Tons of stuff got cut. None of the Simon broke the Fish Tank stuff was in there.” Jet, being shown up like this, says, “Dude, get the fuck out of my ear.”
  • 20:05 Jon talks and says that everyone should just move on because the space is about positivity and how to make the show better and not complain.
    • Jet reiterates that Frank's criticism’s aren't genuine, and that he can’t name a different scene that got cut that doesn’t involve himself. (As a reminder, Frank did name another scene that didn’t involve him.)
    • Frank then lists off scenes that didn’t make the final cut that didn’t involve him, which pisses Jet off. Jet brushes it off like he didn’t just ask the question. He asks Frank AGAIN to name scenes that don’t involve himself, and Frank does just that.
    • Jon, once again, barges into the conversation and says the cameras are on 24/7. Frank cuts him off and tells Jon to shut up, less out of anger and more out of pity to spare the tard of embarrassment.
      • “A freeloader can’t talk to a contestant that way, Frank it’s not right.” FT spergs proceed to laugh as if that was the funniest joke they’ve heard.
    • Jet says the episode was twice as long and the episode still had stuff cut out. He implies that Frank should be grateful for being a central part of episode 6.
  • 22:30 Frank calls Jet out on his unfunny detective skit and how there were twenty minutes of that in episode six. He directly calls it unfunny and says nobody wants to see it.
    • Jet brushes this off and says if Frank wanted to make those narrative decisions he should be an editor, but he just hires editors.
  • 23:00 Jet is leaving and says that he hopes everyone had a swell time during the meet and greet, whether at his expense or alongside him.
    • FT spergs say there’s a space after every episode and that Jet is welcome back any time.
    • “One last thing, thank you for being patient with the team here. Not to gripe or pout, but it’s not easy man, and uhh, I just appreciate you guys giving us patience and time to uhh handle it the right way. It just means a lot to me dude.”
  • 24:35 Jet leaves the call.
    • FT spergs immediately start saying release the Hassle cut and sarcastically ask “you gonna release the edit for us Frank?”. Frank mocks Jet, saying he’s made millions of dollars but acts like he’s still learning.
    • Frank states that he tries to talk to Jet privately, But Jet just doesn’t respond to him.
    • FT spergs jerk Frank off about how good he did during season one, and that it’s probably unlikely he’ll get back into the FT now.
  • 26:20 is when the host starts allowing other random FT spergs to ask Frank questions directly. If you were reading just for the Frank and Jet conflict, that part is over. I will still cover the questions they ask though as well as the responses the best I can.
    • FT sperg says “That seemed a lot more personal than just about the show.” Goes on to ask Frank if he’s mad because the season sucked or if it was something else.
      • “The removal of my parts is more spiteful and ego driven and personal than necessarily, ‘Oh we just ran out of room or we ran out of time or whatever.’ It’s not about running out of time or space, or whatever, it’s definitely more spite driven or ego driven I would say.”
  • 27:40 Frank implies that there is something behind the scenes that causes Jet to be spiteful towards him. He refuses to elaborate as it could cause trouble.
    • Frank says the excuses Jet and crew are using are invalidated because they’ve made a huge sum of money to hire the proper people to create a good product. FT sperg agrees.
    • Another FT sperg comes in and basically repeats the criticisms we’ve all heard before. Not enough episodes, time constraints, episodes aren’t long, no context, etc.
    • Another FT sperg says sometimes money isn’t enough, and that Jet needs to make sure he’s hiring the right editors and coming up with the right ideas.
    • Another FT sperg says that the inclusion of Frank’s talk with Chris would have made his hostile behavior on the show even funnier due to the contrast in moments.
  • 32:00 Frank provides some insight as to why he’s upset with Jet on a seemingly personal level. Apparently the shit cup ended up in his personal belongings off camera, not as a bit and that made him upset. (Looks like Hassle doesn’t like to be a Hassled)
    • He elaborates and says he doesn’t think a contestant did it because then the crew would’ve said something to him.
  • 32:30 Sylvia Enters. I kid you not, I thought it was a 14 year old talking at first. But I think it’s Sylvia who pokes her head in to give her opinion. She says that she definitely wasn’t the one to put the shit into Frank’s bag. She’s also tipsy.
    • Sylvia says that she was surprised they didn’t include the food fight and had so much of the “Hottest to Nottest” featured.
    • Sylvia says she’s grateful to be in the show. She’s only watched episodes 1-3 and now 6. She basically is trying to be as middle ground as possible by saying how everyone is working hard and doing their best.
    • She shares the sentiment that she wished they showed more of her and Frank interacting.
    • Sylvia just talks drunkenly for a bit after that, and it’s not noteworthy.
    • Five minutes later and it’s still pointless questions being asked to Sylvia.
  • 38:50 The subject switches back to how feces ended up in Frank's bag next to all of his valuables. He says that his bag was hidden in the bathroom out of camera, which was imo a retarded move. Just put it in the basement.
    • “Hahah poop funny, hahaha it was definitely Sylvia.”
    • They start to theorize that it could’ve been Mauro, since Mauro hated Frank and he was on the toilet when Frank pissed him off.
  • 44:00 back to autistic coping. Some FT sperg says that Jet is retarded because he’s complaining about everything despite making 1.2 million dollars.
    • Another FT sperg jokingly refers to it as a rug pull and how Jet definitely got them. Unironically not realizing that they did kind of get scammed out of $60. Never underestimate the retardation of paypigs.
    • The same FT sperg continues to cope by saying that they’re just going to invest the money they’ve made into future seasons (totally not paying for Sam’s new car guys). He mentions that you can’t be hypercritical because it’s all gonna work out in the end. It’s about legacy.
    • A different FT sperg says it’s not even relevant to mention the money because no amount of money would make Frank happy with the creative choices made. He says he can’t imagine helping with world peace, preparing season two, editing the episodes, and sleeping in the office while trying to listen to feedback while people complain.
      • Just a little response here. Jet and the rest of his crew didn’t have to choose a December release date. As many people have stated in this thread it was a retarded move. Mostly because it will be finals week, the NFL and other sports will be at their most watched, and it leaves no breathing room. Not to mention the holidays drawing people away from their coom caves to spend time with family. The release date should’ve been April 18th like last time.
    • More coping ensues. They try to talk about how they’re trying to create a product, and that whatever is released is released. They seem to ignore the fact that they paid money for an expected product that would have some degree of quality. They again say how money doesn’t matter.
    • “It’s more productive to focus on solutions than problems.” -Pot smoking faggot
    • For some reason, they say that there’s going to be ten more seasons of FT.
  • 48:30 Jon raises his hand and begins to speak his mind. He says at the end of the day they are making the show. And how anyone complaining is BS because the cameras were on 24/7.
    • EXTRA AUTISM: Jon says that the contestants cannot complain because they had free food, housing, and money. He says he “could care less” about the people complaining about it.
    • FT spergs continue to say how based Jon is and suck his dick. Jon then leaves the chat.
  • 50:30 Letty Enters. She tries to put on that stupid giggly woman voice that’s annoying.
    • MORE SHIT SPURGING
    • “Hahaha it was totally Letty hahaha.”
    • Letty has no idea what the hell is going on so the host mutes everybody to fill Letty in.
    • Letty says that Frank could easily be making it up. This causes everyone to scream as a siren sound board plays in the background. This is incredibly unfunny and I would suggest skipping it.
  • Maybe I’m retarded, but at some point during or before 54:00 Jet re enters, and I missed it.
    • Jet again mentions how this episode was doubled in length and people still bitched, not realizing the complaint is because 20 minutes of the episode was his detective skit. He compares people complaining to chickens squawking.
    • Jet claims he doesn’t know who put the shit in Frank’s bag and that nobody should care about it. “Play dirty games, win dirty prizes.”
    • Letty is asked what she thinks about the episode and how she liked the ones she watched a lot.
  • 1:00:00 Hassle returns and asks Jet how poop ended up in his bag. Jet responds he doesn’t know and doesn’t care. Franks says it ended up all over his stuff, and Jet says it’s just what happens on the show and that he shouldn’t have to give a plant a Fishtank tutorial.
    • Hassle argues his stuff being off camera and vandalized isn’t a part of the show. Jet responds that he dumped toilet water on Letty’s head, to which Frank responds he was paid to do that. “You were also paid to be a team player, not an opportune shit starter.”
    • “Frank you slung your fair share of mud on the show buddy, you slung your faiiiir share of mud alright? We’re all done with mud slinging.” “I guess, I was just bringing up some concerns I had.” “They’re selfish concerns. It’s traitorous to kick and scream on a team effort project when people who have much more right than you or being team players and they’re not even on our team.” “Yeah, I’m not on the team though. Am I on the team?” “Dude yeah, you were picked by us to be on the show.” “I was picked by the fans to be on the show. Bro let’s be real, they wanted me there and they made it happen. They paid for me to be there. You guys had a Frank Hassle Meter that was displayed there for how many months?" “One, that’s the answer. Like three fourths of one month, and that was assuming you were a central part of it until you come in here and try to own like the producers of the show for some microbial gain.” “I think you’re a fag honestly, I think you’re a faggot.” “Yeah I know because you said that in private and somebody told me.” “Yeah, you wanna talk about the other stuff that happened in private?” *Jet laughs like a goblin here* “You wanna get into it?” “Frank dude, the things you brought up to me in the space earlier, you were mad that your footage wasn’t included, and I find that selfish when other people also had their footage not included for like half of the show. Like there’s obviously a big problem in the show.” “Dude there is a big problem in the show and where does the problem start? In the editing.”
    • FT sperg says they’d be better as allies than enemies. Says Frank was on one of the biggest reality shows EVER (this just isn’t true) and how he should be grateful for the opportunity. Keeps mentioning how it was a good thing for his career as if Frank didn’t have a fanbase beforehand.
    • “It’s better to focus on solutions instead of problems.”
    • “Jet is an ego driven greedy faggot and I don’t want to work with him.”
    • Letty interrupts and says she liked it more when Jet and Frank were arguing and he shuts up.
  • 1:06:30 Sylvia is asked about her opinion again. She says it’s sad to see so much stuff cut out but that it’s alright, and that the things Jet put in were better than the other things. She’s drunk so it’s hard to find out what the hell she’s saying.
    • FT sperg #77 says it’s hard to make a narrative from a bunch of random clips, and how so far the show has been a slow rise as opposed to specific moments. Basically he says clips need to be left out otherwise the plot wouldn’t make sense.
    • Sylvia said she thought they would at least include one of Frank’s back and fourths and that she’s a little sad it was left out. She also mentions Lance wanted to have the food fight included.
    • Letty and Sylvia talk about their friendship and I couldn’t care less. Letty then says it’s easy to be a critic. They both mutually share the fact that they dream about being in the Fish tank.
    • Letty jokes about how she snuck a weed pen into the house and hit it once a week. Jet pretends to be angry.
    • Some fucking retard FT sperg says leaving content out makes it good because you’ll want to watch it live next time.
    • Letty says it’s hard to create content online because you either get dick suckers or critics. Sylvia, bright as always, brings up the shit in Hassle’s bag conversation.
    • FT sperg complains about how he got kicked out of the lettychud discord server.
    • Another FT sperg talks to Letty about random shit and it sounds like he’s a nervous teenager talking to his crush. The conversation is nothing of substance.
    • “From an outsider perspective the Lettychuds are pretty chill.”
    • Sylvia forces herself in the conversation talking about her nonexistent fanbase. This devolves into a circle jerk into how nice and kind the fan bases are now.
  • 1:22:30 The host introduces someone called “Shark Head” and says he’s been very involved in the clan building. I have no idea who this is, he proceeds to ask questions though. “Shoutout gang, love my sharks. Second thing, I love you Sylvia. Fuck the Gold Team, those guys suck.”
    • He proceeds to talk about a nothing burger basically just jerking off the fish in the space.
  • 1:24:25 Some random FT sperg is also introduced to the space and acts like he’s a well beloved member of the FT community. Again, I have no idea who this is. He feels like Frank and Jet are doing a bit because of the tone in Frank's voice. He’s then made fun of because of his annoying voice by Sylvia.

I listened to the rest of the audio. It’s just a bunch of people asking the same questions we've heard before and giving the same repeated opinion of, “I was a little disappointed that clips were left out, but it’s ok :)” From what I can tell Frank and Jet never come back into this space, so that’s it for their arguments.

The idea to make the edited episode 22 minutes is so unbelievably retarded. As if 22 minutes, which is just a relic at this point based around a 30 minute TV block with 8 minutes of ads, is some perfect length of time for comedy and isn't just completely arbitrary in this context because this isn't fucking TV. That was the first disappointment with these edited episodes for me; seeing how short the first one was and how few were planned considering how short they would be. I knew there was absolutely no way they would be able to put everything in that they should put in. Why would you even tie your hands with a set time? Have each episode be a sort of "era" in the tank and make the episode as long as it needs to be. It's the internet, you're making the rules here. You're "building culture" or whatever the fuck, and your idea is to do what they've done for decades on network television.

edit: I stopped reading as soon as I got to the 22 minutes part because it was so stupid and didn't notice that he said the same thing I did a few lines later. How the frick did you realize this halfway through the season?

Dude, I mean, haha, what am I supposed to say here?” “What happened? Because there were people that were paid to edit the episodes and they were let go.” “Did you pay them?” “No, but I know one of my guys, who’s done my videos, was hired to edit my episode and he was fired.” “Are you ummm… ok. I just thought it was odd.”

“Frank dude, the things you brought up to me in the space earlier, you were mad that your footage wasn’t included, and I find that selfish when other people also had their footage not included for like half of the show. Like there’s obviously a big problem in the show.”
The Frank vs Sylvia fight which was one of the best Frank moments on the show didn't even get featured in the extras while Fatty ranking people based on attractiveness which was boring was. The "things get cut, get over it" excuse is so fucking gay. You picked uninteresting shit over golden moments Jet that's why people are upset. Maybe listen to the fans that are paying you and keep in the good stuff? Just a thought.

Maybe I’m retarded, but at some point during or before 54:00 Jet re enters, and I missed it.
Jet was there most of the time as I recall. He rejoined very soon after "leaving" but was a listener until he spoke up again.
I have no idea who this is, he proceeds to ask questions though.
You'd need to be active on the fishtank site and in the Twitter community to know 90% of the "players." In reality, a dozen or so people think they're special for being "known" in the loose Fishtank community, I think they are trying to ride that wave as it swells for season 2 but most offer quite literally nothing and are paypigs.

The reason is Sam was hoping/planning on selling the edited show to a network so they cut the episodes to fit a standard TV show format, or at least tried to get as close as possible. Obviously that was a retarded pipe dream for a huge number of reasons, but I guess Sam was feeling pretty optimistic before the debut.

Sam is also notoriously bad at accepting negative feedback on his projects. He was straight up in denial when the fans didn't like The Great War and said they just didn't understand it. I think that project was Sam's biggest flop to date. I only watched the first episode and have no interest in watching the rest. I don't think anyone else cares either. Despite all that Sam has never slipped up anywhere near as bad as Jet did in that Twitter call, because he knows when to STFU and lay low for a minute. Frank Hassle isn't some BuzzFeed reporter. Jet fucked up talking to him like that.

There is no way in hell Sam was ever trying to get the show on a network. He regularly used racial slurs that would instantly get the show pulled just like World Peace not to mention he's already blacklisted in Hollywood. No one is picking up a show with Sam Hyde as the star.

“I think you’re a fag honestly, I think you’re a faggot.” “Yeah I know because you said that in private and somebody told me.”
It's pretty obvious this is the reason the Frank stuff was cut. Jet purposefully cut good content from the show, content that would have made the episode better, just to spite Frank over a petty grudge. Real quality showrunner. What a beta bitch faggot move.
