Boogie2988 hates women because his mother was abusive so he only sees us as sexual objects and only if we’re unrealistically attractive or actual girls that he doesn’t perceive as being maternal yet. After seeing the documentary and some of the stuff posted in this thread, I realize now more than ever he’s one of the most dangerous versions of abusive men: the kind people don’t automatically see as potentially abusive because he’s goofy and fat. His appearance gives him a major advantage because a lot of people, especially teenage girls with daddy issues who have no life experience, find him to be non threatening. In reality, he’s probably as bad as it gets.

I mean he pulled a fucking gun on a guy who was trolling him on the internet ON CAMERA and he knew it was going to be seen by tens of thousands of people. He makes an ass of himself in front of an audience daily and has for years. Imagine how he throws his weight around (literally and figuratively) when his opponent is a 5’4, 130lb teenager/young adult. Imagine, if he shows the egregious shit we see voluntarily, what “worse” looks like when he’s trying to be sneaky or he’s doing something he knows people will REALLY find to be unacceptable.

It’s kind of the same thing as how women generally aren’t stereotyped as capable of abuse in the same way that men are. Then they do some horrific shit to a man or a child and everyone is shocked as if there are no women anywhere who have the ability to do things like that. Basically the same concept, but worse because it’s Boogie. Based on a lot of comments I’ve seen on his recent videos, he’s still capable of manipulating an audience to some extent.

Edit to add: he also knows damn fucking well that no woman (but especially one as young as his girlfriend) is ever going to fuck with him for anything other than money or because she’s mentally ill like I alluded to before. And Boogie is broke…

I think we saw a more genuine version of him early on so I do believe his abuse story to some extent. It went off the rails after that, though. He realized that people had sympathy for him and he could control their perception of him so he started to change details and make it sound worse. I believe the very first version because we know he over shares online so it’s not crazy to think he would just compulsively post something like that for no reason. Everything after that was manipulation, though.

I also think he had the potential to actually get help before he started making money off of being a fat loser people feel pity for/playing on the jolly uncle weird thing he used to do. Now he’s completely beyond hope. He will be like this until it kills him.

While im fairly positive there was no abuse at all, although maybe a harsh punishment here or there. In what could of realistically been a spanking for being a little shit, or no video games for a week cause he failed to study, Boogie will dial up the histrionics and equate those punishments to literal rape and sexual abuse. His siblings are doing much better than Boogie has (and will) so im sure he got some shit for not trying to better himself when he was younger so he carries that resentment. Even his "mom throwing him out of the car" story could more or less be him getting out of the car at school and his fat leg got caught and he fell. People who saw (including his mother) chuckled and he more or less wrapped that story around as him being thrown out to make people feel sorry for him rather than laughing at a fat person falling.

So with his abuse stories, none of it is true in an actual sense. If anything a more realistic and relatable story happened that Boogie is spinning to make it seem much more horrible so he is a special unique fatass.

Maybe? Keem brought up the "plan" in one of his unhinged videos. It was supposed to be Muta ripping Boogie on episode 2 then Boogie and Muta sperging on episode 3. That would've made more sense because that'd be more content and more revenue.
It's more likely that Keem was genuinely pissed and tried to make a disastrous situation salvageable. It didn't work because episode 2 only has 22k views.

I do agree with you to an extent, but there’s too much reasonable doubt for me to take a firm stance on one side or the other. I’ve seen situations where families had more than one child and singled one out for whatever reason while treating the other children normally.

A public example of what I’m referring to would be the Daddy o’ Five situation that happened on YouTube a few years back. I wouldn’t say that they were great parents towards any of their children. And to be completely objective, looking at what the adult son has been posting lately, the bigger picture seems more complicated than flat out hating one kid and showering the others with love, but it’s the closest reference I can think of in order to illustrate my point.

The son they filmed as the butt of their “jokes “ and “pranks” during their vlogs was treated like absolute garbage in comparison to the other kids and there was never really any explanation as to why. Maybe it was because he gave the biggest reactions, but that doesn’t excuse anything.

It was so bad that he was eventually taken away by the state, along with another sibling, while the others were allowed to stay. I’d also point out that a lot of the audience also didn’t seem to think that they were doing anything abusive or wrong, but a judge did and so did YouTube, so it really depends on who you’re asking. I think that proves that a lot of people see the things that were shown in those vlogs as ok because dysfunction is so normalized. Which kinda brings me back to my original point about Boogie.

That was a really long-winded way of saying that Boogie isn’t the way he is for no reason. He has a severe, untreated personality disorder that just keeps getting worse and worse. Some people are definitely born with more genetic potential for mental disorders or personality disorders, but early childhood development is where the line between functional and turning out like Boogie is drawn. Family dynamics play a really important role in severity of symptoms later in life and also how successfully someone can be treated. That’s why I’m kinda middle of the road on how much I believe him. I don’t think that he made all of it up, but I also don’t believe that it was as bad as he says it was. I think that for him, there was more potential to begin with and it was exasperated by whatever happened to him at the time.
