The Creator has no known online presence past a Itch.Io page and the steam page so no one knows either way. Personally I think the Creators interests lean way more towards Female than male, but that's all personal opinion.

I have seen gameplay of this game, and it's pretty obviously yandere femdom incest coombait the whole time. There are scenes of the mom insinuating that they're fucking each other. I would bet money the author worked backward from the initial idea of "wouldn't it be hot if two siblings developed Stockholm syndrome in quarantine".

Westermarck effect is a hypothesis that you're prevented from being attracted to people who were present in your early childhood. That's the only formal hypothesis I'm aware of, but obviously some such mechanism exists due to the fact that anyone with a sibling finds the idea revolting.

Having played le funne cannibal incest game, my verdict is that its aight. The game provides a nice look into a toxic relationship which you don't see that much in fiction. I just think it would have been a lot better if Minos Prime from ULTRAKILL came out of the summoning circle and proclaimed that THY END IS NOW! ,before detonating the little shits into Quark-Gluon plasma.

Their website seems totally blank, but I haven't checked any archive. Twitter is also mostly empty (though it looks like they might have missed a few in their scrubbing.) Looks like their itch.io page is similarly scrubbed or empty, though there is a couple posts on Twitter, like from the itch.io account, that mention a game they worked on called "Gun-Toting Cats." Looks like it had a Kickstarter way back when, but was made private. There's some random video I found that mentions the Kickstarter goal was around $19,000 to finish the game, which I'm assuming didn't happen. The missing 10 posts on itch.io were likely for the prototype, which now is "restricted by the author". Artists, what's your opinion on the game's art-style resembling COAL/the developer's other works? I'm unsure.
Early conclusion: Kit9 as a "Freelance group" is mostly comprised of individuals the COAL developer personally knows/has worked with in the past/is just a professional veneer that they can use in order to sequester their personal social media feeds away from the sudden influx of popularity (and derision.) There's little reason to believe they would transfer ownership of the game/IP to this group, beyond just publishing and allowing them to handle business aspects, and still decide to keep working on art/story, which is 99% of what people are interested in regarding the game. I mean, realistically, how much programming work would a game like this really need?
