That ties into my third point. When I mentioned 'X-Rated jokes', I was not just talking about the yiff jokes, but rather all 'mature' jokes that fill adult animation, from 'PROFANITY TO THE MAX' to shooting an innocent nun into a gory mess (from Aqua Teen Hunger Force).

The same cartoon has fujoshi bait in the guise of 'diversity'.

If you put X-Rated jokes and 'diversity' in the same cartoon, you end up with your 'diverse' cast being the target of those X-Rated jokes. In this case, you would have Hell full of queer people. There are straight people in Hazbin Hotel Hell, since Katie Killjoy has 'standards' against 'the gays', which the pilot implies is the reason why Katie is in Hell, but a largely queer cast in Hell is Not Helping Your Case.

That is probably one other reason why the assassins are not really assassinating: other than them being 'uwu soft gay babies owo', the 'diversity' won over the X-Rated jokes. Insulting the mentally disabled is not 'diverse', either.

It does seem like the majority of Helluva Boss female characters are straight. It's the opposite of children western cartoons; in those shows all the females are gay and dealing with trauma while the males have to be subservient to females or are bastards. In Helluva Boss, all the males are gay and dealing with trauma while females have to be subservient to males or are bitches.

IIRC even Verosika has been depicted as straight when, as a succubus, you think she would not be.

God, they're gonna ruin Angel. He was actually kinda cool in his comic and the addict video, where his deal was that he was an effeminate, but still dangerous spider gangster who was probably just hanging out at the hotel to get away from Val, but you just know that ALL Viv is gonna care about is him being a soft boy who doesn't actually like killing people and needs a big strong Seme to keep him safe from his abuser and the cruel world. (You know, the one that's basically just red earth but its standard of morality is that one joke from Sam and Max of it being cool to bomb strangers because they didn't know any of their names) Viv's blatant yaoi fetish and fujo tendencies won't let him be anything more than that.

Vivz could have subverted expectations by having Moxxie be gigastraight even though he's not physically strong and into music and theater. But that window closed with the coffee order, fantasizing about sex with Michael Crawford, and being pegged by his wife.

This may apply to the actual mythology, but it’s not true in Helluva’s case. Verosika’s friends have been shown targeting both men and women regardless of gender in Spring Broken and the episode ends with all of them prepared to suck off the police. A few of the succubi and incubi are even implied to be dating each other (two of the girls and two of the guys respectively). So we really can’t say for certain that Verosika herself is straight, and given how allergic Viv seems to be to straight people, I doubt she is.

I just kinda watch it because I thought season 1 was okay, season 2 however
It's like, Yeah Better animation and quality but the storyline is shit in the current season. With the only current episode that's semi better in my eyes is the latest one Even then it's only because Micheal Cusack played mammon. Which was the only saving grace of the episode imo.
