My favorite piece of lore on the Taiwan VS. Beijing beef is how during that attempted invasion by Mao of the Kinmen islands a ship of the ROC Navy refused a order to retreat, stood it's ground and repelled a massive attack by the PLA.
They didn't do it because of any sort of nationalism or desire to defend the places, they had been smuggling shit and didn't leave because they hadn't been paid by the locals for the latest delivery and were not gonna give them a excuse to skip on paying. Accidentally got medals.

Meatball said and did all the right things right up to the very last second before he started up his campaign for the Nomination. So it took everyone here by surprise that he would do a 180 so easily and threw me personally because I misjudged him so badly.
I honestly thought that DeSantas was the next step in the recovery of normalcy but instead he either; 1. lied so well to everyone for years or 2. sold out so fast to the elites. Neither of these outcomes was something I ever seriously considered but here we are Ron DeSantas is just another Uni-Party stooge like all the others before.
Really the biggest outrage was that I allowed myself to hope that there was a light in the tunnel and that's probably why he is detested so much by the autistics of A&H.
