So his logic seems to be:

1. Some media is more important than others
2. Some media in our timeline is set in stone because it has a butterfly-effect relationship to critical world events
3. MLP: FiM is one of these pieces of media, and should have continued to run 5 more seasons (presumably because those seasons or the timing of the next generation would have been the source of aforementioned butterfly effects)

But even if you understand it all, it still wouldn't make sense! You can't ctrl+f reality. You can't unmake the new MLP or Pokemon games, so even by his own logic it's too late to change anything.

I think you could make a reasonably interesting time travel story where someone bumbles through time doing apparently inconsequential things because they will have an enormous impact.

It's like the last two years never even happened. He's right back to his fantasies and delusions. I can't decide whether that's funny, sad, horrifying or some combination of all three.

It is still kinda funny to see him being so buttblasted about the Pokémon thing, though. I'd been waiting to see how he'd react when the Pokedex inevitably got to the numbers he'd picked out for Sonichu et al. and he didn't disappoint.

I personally am surprised he hasn't been sperging about it online yet, about how this thing which originally existed to threaten his beloved headcannon (because it's somehow in canon with G4 even though the only thing tying it back really is just Twilight Sparkle appearing for a minute in a hologram or something) suddenly has become only more proof of Chris's divinity.
