Risks a full war on two fronts, three if all the nutjob groups on the Syrian border join in. They may as well dismantle Hamas first and then see if they’re in a position to storm into Lebanon and contain the Tusken raiders in Syrian until it’s their turn too.

You won't take a shooting victim with multiple chest wounds to Dermatology or Oto-Rhino-Laryngology.

No you're right, the terrorists in a chaotic dusty ass war zone skipped past the esteemed otolaryngology and vulvoplasty clinics so they could get their hostages the best care possible at the only hospital in Gaza that knows how to treat a gunshot wound. Maybe he even got a referral to a specialist at Shifa after getting evaluated by a physician at one of the closer hospitals. Was the specialist the dude in the scrubs who is standing in the doorway scratching his junk at the beginning of the cctv footage?

The fact is is that under UN law and under the Geneva convention, genocide has a very specific definition. A definition that regardless to what you think israel has never met. When genocide is officially met then the United Nations has to get involved. Genocide is what the serbians did the Germans did and what the Rwandans did. Israel is not creating a genocide because Israel is nowhere staying that the Palestinian people cannot exist. They are saying that the government which governs the Gaza strip cannot exist. That is a difference. If today the Israeli government came out and said that all Arabs all Palestinians must be cleaned from the land and must be killed then that is considered genocide. Sure some people believe it, but they're not in power. It is a state sanctioned killing which is important.

Honestly, its more a case of:

Hamas has no tanks or artillery so cannot take on Israel proper and will just continue to lob rockets

Israel doesn't want to have to move in to occupy southern Lebannon and constantly get pot shot at and sniped at, even if they have tanks (aka what they actually have to do in Gaza)

So its unironically a case where "low intensity conflict" is actually appropriate because neither side really wants to occupy the other's land but both want to bloody the other's nose.

Nah Syria is in no position to wage war. The entire country is already in rubbles. Not much to conquer except bricks and stones.

Lebanon is a tricky situation since the scale of attacks is tiny compared to Gaza attacks. It's annoying, to be sure, but nothing too dramatic.

Plus I don't think the world would take too kindly to another full blown invasion up north. Eventually when Lebanon collapses into pieces, I think Israel should enter and take some land. That place is excellent for growing grapes.

Here's the song with English subtitles. The blurb at the start by the translators is wrong, by the way. They should know, they translated it.

Hezbollah can't project offensively, just minor drones and ATGM near the border. They can however fuck Israel up in a defensive war just like they did in 2006. Hezbollah doesn't even want this conflict, they're just obliged to half halfheartedly participate because their propaganda will ring hollow otherwise. Its Hamas that wanted to fracture the detente that was started by Trump between Israel and the Saudi government, they've achieved this goal at the cost of getting Gaza turned into rubble.

They have achieved this temporarily. Saudis still want defacto peace and cooperation with Israel.

In the end Gaza will be a rubble and the peace will still become reality.

Because really, when did Arab rulers ever give a shit about what their people want.
