If Media Matters did what Elon claims, they're kinda fucked. Making up shit yourself and getting caught at it makes a defamation defense much harder

That isn't what X alleges. It alleges, and claims it has proof, that Media Matters owned an account that it deliberately manipulated the algorithm with so that account's feed would be filled with yelling about Joos. The user activity of that account was planned, to make sure its feed would be filled with yelling about Joos. They used that account to look at yelling about Joos all the time, so the algorithm would give it more yelling about Joos. Media Matters then claimed that this account was no different from any random twitter account, and the algorithm was pushing yelling about Joos unprompted

It was manufactured. Fake and gay. If Elon has the goods, which he presumably would since he has access to all that activity data

If Elon wants to play this smart, he'd lean in on how Media Matters photoshopped their evidence to defame the company and were caught red-handed. That is the most direct attack vector for this lawsuit.

Let this be what finally ruins the reputation of Media Matters. It's the brainchild of David Brock, a very key figure in a certain "gate."

They can look at every search that account made, every other user's page it visited, every tweet it clicked on, responded to, retweeted, liked, every tweet that account viewed

If Media Matters really did photoshop shit like a bunch of retards that doesn't help them at all either
