Essentially, yes. I considered him to be a friend then, and like with friends, sometimes you don't want to believe negative shit about them, especially when they deny it to your face.

Eh I never think about things like that because what's done is done and spending time wishing you could change the past is wasted time. I've fucked shit up and made many mistakes in my life, because I'll be the first to admit I don't know all the answers, and while it's easy for people to claim they do, you know the saying about hindsight.

Basically I've always tried to do what I thought was the right thing to do. Sure I've fucked up plenty of times and things didn't work out as I hoped they would, but I tend to listen to my emotions more than my limited brains, which is why I've made so many poor business decisions. However, at the end of the day I'd still rather feel like a person who tried to do the right thing instead of the person who did the thing best for business.
