Besides Gorlicbread being an almighty twat , the point is , this rule doesn’t apply to fatso , she is not an expat, she is on a travel visa, also not married, also a lazy, fat fuck . She has no right to any other type of visa , just a travel visa which next time she tries to renew will probably be rejected.
This. She's a tourist, nothing more.
Also, he insists she's seen a doctor, but there's no way she did, because she wouldn't be sent home to lose weight on her own if she did. She's having a genuine medical crisis; an ER visit would have been a big (and costly, for her) deal; and she would have been prescribed
something. My understanding is that Kuwait has excellent medical care, and there's no way a woman with BG levels as high as hers would be treated as anything but the emergency it is.
So no, she hasn't consulted a doctor, other than Doctors Google and YouTube, who referred her to (as One Salty Beach pointed out) a chiropractor who once had his license supended at for practicing outside his field and keeping sloppy records; who is a Scientologist who still practices quack therapies; and has latched himself on to the keto diet crowd in recent years because $$$.
That's who she's taking medical and dietary advice from.
And if she was there as a genuine expat, on a work or family visa, there wouldn't be any "giving her a month to turn things around" upon discovery of her out-of-control diabetes. That's not how it works; the Kuwaiti government doesn't give a shit. Had she seen an actual doctor, and undergone all the testing she would, by necessity, have to undergo, it would be clear by now that not only is she diabetic, but has multiple comorbid conditions that will require a lot of medical resources to even start to address—and again, the Kuwaitis would just ship her back to Canada, so she can get all of her "free" healthcare there.
