Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Russia stole yet another election.
This time Netherlands.
Yeah, it was totally those pesky Ruzzians, it's totally not that the previous head of government was a WEF globohomo stooge who tried to shut down one of his nation's biggest industries with choking nitrogen regulations and then persecuted all the farmers who protested, and then proceeded to loose all of the local elections to a new-born farmer's party, nah, totally Eeevil Pootin and his Ruzzian bots trying to destroy the righteous and glorious EU and NATO from the inside!

That man is a strong zionist.

I don't still get why kikes would still hate on him lol.
It goes back a decade to when he was pushing a policy that animals had to be rendered unconcicious before being slaughtered for food. The policy was aimed at muslims, but it also affected Jewish religious ritual animal slaughter too. They had the chief rabbi in Israel call him an anti-semite over it. There were also the usual claims that the law was somehow just like putting the nazis back in power like it was 1940 again. Because he was considered on the far right, once the anti-semite label was attached the media was going to keep it on him forever.

Making an IR camera is as simple as getting just about any digital camera, disassembling it, removing the infrared filter, and installing a new filter that blocks the visible spectrum instead.
In fact chances are you can demo this with your cellphone right now. Grab an IR remote control and the phone, step into a dark room, open the camera app, point the remote at the camera, and mash buttons. You'll see it light up like a flashlight on the display, but stay dark outside the display (or at least very nearly dark, you can usually see a little bit of red light if the room is dark enough since it's more expensive to make an actual IR diode than to just make an IR-to-red diode and then putting a visible spectrum filter over it).
That light is what little IR leaks through your phone's IR filter. If you were to remove the filter it would be bright enough to light the room by.

Different wavelength IR, I'm afraid. Way more expensive.

I'll keep this sperging short, but there are two kinds of devices called "infrared cameras" or "night vision".

One kind - the "best", most expensive kind - images scenes only by the amount of IR radiation that all bodies emit. All matter emits, on its own, small amounts of IR as a function of (among other things) its temperature. As most things you want to identify and blow up on a battlefield are slightly warmer than their surroundings, this contrast is very useful for military applications indeed.

That's "true" thermal (night-) vision. Note that there is no need for illumination of the scene, be it by the sun or by projected light from a searchlight/flare/whatever. What you want to see radiates the light you need to see it in the first place.

It's also the kind of IR camera that's traditionally been insanely expensive. They have to be ridiculously sensitive because the amount of passive IR emitted by room-temp stuff is tiny. If you've ever heard of cryogenics being mentioned in the same paragraph as some device, you know it's the real deal: most sensor technologies need to be cooled to cryogenic temperatures so their own emitted radiation doesn't overwhelm the signal from the scene they want to image.

The other kind as described by @snov are just conventional devices (CCD, whatever) sensitive to light in the IR range - usually short-IR, i.e. closer-to-visible-light. Most of the time, their sensitivity to that tiny visible-adjacent IR is not even a feature - that's why they have these IR filters, because when you're trying to take a regular photo you don't want to pick up IR frequencies. Your eye can't see IR, so the result would look wrong in color. They're cheap because regular sensors are cheap these days.

And just like conventional cameras, these devices need the scene to be illuminated by some external source of light, so they don't (on their own) work at night or in darkened environments - i.e. they aren't "passive". You can use them at night in conjunction with an IR spotlight, this is how domestic PTZ cameras with "night vision" work, they have a ring of high-power IR leds that provide illumination while being discreet to any would-be burglar.

See the difference between both images taken in the dark:
  • The top one (true thermals) has the whole field visible, no apparent illumination source. The colors are also "all wrong" because they aren't really colors, just object temperature mapped onto a grayscale.
  • The bottom one (IR searchlight) looks more "natural" (in B/W) and also has an obvious external illumination source.

Sadly this is easy to explain. When Trump was president he had no qualms assassinating problematic people. Biden just let things slowly get worse and worse.

From what I remember, weren't there several car bomb attempts on Putin already in years past? I guess they figured they'd need to do things the hard way and shelved the Nalvany project funded by the US State Dept.

I don't know who he is

Andrew Perpetua is a video wargame player and American sports statistics expert. When the Ukraine war broke out, he decided to get into conflict mapmaking. He does the UA Map of the Ukraine war. Because he got alot of media attention for doing the map and because he plays Red Orchestra, he began to think of himself as a military and strategic genius with opinions about the war.

He also has a youtube channel where he does really terrible videos on the situation in Ukraine.

Tonight's episode of "It's not war crime when we do it!" is getting funnier by the days.
Well Ukraine has been up staged by "what war crime?" at this point by another nation.

Which means Ukraine must be destroyed since all the propaganda supporting its retarded existence is gone.

End the Ukraine like that episode of Seinfeld.

From this longer yt video, age restricted: https://youtu.be/Ee22F99uWNE

Interesting but sad watching Ukraine destroy itself, especially for the likes of Biden and Nudelman , who have moved on.

You missed a very important fact in this video.

Its the same woman from earlier that was crying because her unit got obliterated. She is the only Ukrainian I've seen video of that wears the Pippy Longstocking badge. She isn't infantry, she is a medic. Not ideal to have on the front lines but I still respect the hell out of her for actually getting in the shit.
Edit:

I just noticed that yes, it is indeed the same unit, 47th Mechanized. This Youtube video may be from the battle that had her unit get chopped the fuck up.
