Robocop - Dead or alive, you're coming with me

I think the strongest part of this game is the character writing. They nailed it here because they had multiple good pre-existing characters to work with.

You can't really do that with Rambo or future Terminator.

You could do it with Dredd, there's enough material for them to work with that they can keep the OCs to a minimum.

I want to point out a way that you know the game has a certain elusive care, because it clicked what they were doing with the last line.

Robo's last line is "It's me, Lewis. It's always been me."

It's a weird line, because it seems like an excessive response to what Lewis is saying right then and there.

What he's actually doing is responding to what she said all the way back in the first movie: "Murphy, it's you." Hence the "it's always been me."

A lesser game would throw back in the viewer's face what that line is supposed to be about.

Thank you. That was genuinely bothering me and I knew I was missing something.

By the way, I see how Peter Weller was able to do this despite being positively ancient at 76.

If you watch RoboDoc, the documentary on Robocop made a couple months ago, I know people half his age who move less, it's crazy.

It's a great documentary.
You want to talk about looking great, Ronny Cox hasn't aged a day. Frankly I thought for sure he'd be gone by now. Nope, he even got a speaking cameo in that star trek kid show.

There's just something about people who look old when they are young.

I wish Ronny Cox was in a better project than something as shitty as Star Trek Prodigy, even if the paycheck was big

Beat the game. Overall had fun but a few gripe:

The game ended like 5 times. It got tiring in the end

Half the cast sounds like kids trying to voice adults. Old Man was the absolute worst of them all. The only voices I like were Robo's (obviously) and Wendel's

Also ending the game with Robocop 2 was absolute nonsense. The Old Man saw how much of a disaster the project was and there was no way he would've put his brain in that. What they should've done was put him in a genuinely advanced suit. I wouldn't say remake Robocop but maybe something with a more 90s mentality.

I finally got the fucking game to fucking work. You have to update the fuck out of W10. It has to be the most up to date version. So it might require more than 1 update depending on how often you update it. In my case never. So it took a while. Plus, my mediocre video card (how in the fuck was I supposed to know that price of cards would go through the fucking roof because of lockdowns and had I paid just $300 more I would have a really good card that can more than handle 4K) renders the game in more or less an abstract art game kind of way. It kind of looks like Disco Elysium in a weird way with my graphics settings. But the gameplay is fine and it runs at 60FPS.

So far, pretty good. The gun play is satisfying and has great feedback. The blood spatters are nice and the sound effects have this great crunchyness to it. But I was disappointed that there was no dismemberment ala the Soldier of Fortune games. Isn't there a stat to increase the gore? I just want to see some head pops.

My assumption was
they lied and oversold what they could do to the old man or ran out of money and chose to half ass it. He's seems quite pissed off at the board of directors for a reason and if you try to save him at the end he returns the favor.

In the underground lab you can find a message that states the Old Man ordered them to rush-build a working model, and my best guess is Robocop 2 is what was on hand for them to use. When you're dying you don't exactly have many options. Considering the Old Man goes a bit crazy I'm guessing they weren't even close to being properly finished but since he wanted it, he got it.

I imagine you've figured this out by the time of writing, but extra gore is available as a modification for your pistol. Also there is dismemberment, but personally I was having too much fun making heads go pop to notice it.

So it's a cop action game where you're a robot as a means to enforce the law? Next gen only. First person shooter, looks interesting.

That or Hogwarts Legacy, neither IP that I've cared to experience. Needs more Ava Gardner.
