Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

The soymind logic at play boys and girls. It's RUZZIAN so BAAAAAD. Everything RUZZIAN BAAAAAAAAD. Doesn't matter if it's a topic several degrees removed from the conflict, it's still the devil at work and it's all poisonous.
Well yeah, we've been over this. Pro-Ukrainians and Ukrainians themselves are huge fans of "cancel culture", so they expect everyone to continue cancelling Russia, all Russians, anything Russian in general (remember last year when ballets by Russian composers and Russian cat breeds were getting denied?).

Baldur's Gate devs dared to give someone who happened to be Russian a platform (regardless of her opinion on the war, not that it matters either way) and exposure and for that - they deserve to be socially sanctioned because Russia and all things related to it BAD.

The worst thing that can happen to you when you're a woman is social ostracization, so it's obvious why this is such a popular tactic with women and soys.

You are not drinking enough.
I'm reporting you to Key-Gee-Bee for such a slanderous opinion about me, sir, this is utter nonsense!

This is going to backfire worse then the Harry Potter Legacy boycott
Meh, nothing beats the Rowling derangement syndrome, trannies still seethe to this very day about the game's existence.
I, however, seethe because Manslayer made just one (but quite hilarious) gamerpoop out of this.

If Kif Post started doomposting, the situation is truly dreadful

And by the way, why is the jackass from Texas writing in the news media called the Kiev Post? I can find a thousand authentically Ukrainian keyboard warriors...
please take them somewhere, they have too much free time on their hands.

"Korshak served in the U.S. Army from 1985-1989. He holds degrees from George Washington University and Yale University, and he has performed course work at Middlebury University and Leningrad State University." LINK

You can almost see the glow in that resume.

Ukraine is winning boys. They send refund beggings. Because of devs of Baldur's Gate 3 admired the craft of Russian cosplayer.
If I had a shot of vodka each time shit like this happens I'd be dead in 2017. Unfortunately I'm still alive.

Okey I got to say she is very cute. And I would bet my nuts that she had no power nor any influence on a war. She is a cosplayer not a general. For all they know she could be a bleeding heart who wants a peace and give piggies hugs.

As far as I understand it, the factory district at the east of avdiivka was beyond the range of any Ukrainian artillery support due to the advances by the Russians further to the west. That is not to say that the Ukrainians now lack artillery, but they no longer position it close enough to avdiivka to provide certain positions with fire support.

The fall of that particular district was a major setback for Ukraine at avdiivka. That district was part of the outer wall of the fortress and now the Russians have broken through that wall. Now that they are on the inside of the defenses, the reports are that there are no inner defenses to speak of. Avdiivka will still have to be taken block by block, but it is no longer the impossible target to attack that it was.

The chemical plant should still be a very difficult objective to take. The Kiev Post article seems far more doomsaying about the chemical plant than other sources.

The Ukrainians were overwhelmingly outgunned in the factory district. But that really isn't the case in the whole of avdiivka at least with the information available now.

Speaking of the ex-spokestranny, he launched into something new today. A secret Russian Spy network has been activated to create conflict between the Ukraine government and its military.

"A russian spy network has been activated in order to rip apart Ukrainian society and draw a wedge between Ukraine’s the government and military. This kremlin plot will fail."

He was also given some sort of combat medal for some reason.

Ukrainian "psychological operations" on Ukrainian TV, to sooth their audience:

vs

Russian psychological operations, on the battlefield, where it matters.

By the way, what happened to the F-16 deal? Are they still coming to Ukraine?

Israel needs them more so seems they're on hold. But they may suffer the same fate the Abrams are rumored to have:

There are rumours, just a rumour, that US defence secretary Lloyd Austin told Zelensky to give the Abrams back and they will be replaced by Leopards.

Maybe the US will give them A-10s instead and the midwits who think they're a Wunderwaffen will get to see what happens to them in a real war. not a turkey shoot against goathearders. But who knows how much 30 mm ammo we have lying around.
🤔

The craziest thing is that they talk about tank match ups like T-72 v Abrams as if they're ever going to be in a situation where they're jousting.
It's life-as-RTS brain, similar to another common malaise, life-as-Marvel-movie brain. M1A1s are 70+ tons and have a huge thermal signature. Once spotted they can be taken out by Krasnopol or LMUR before the tank even sees action.

Weren’t the yanks working on some sort of “cloaking device” for their tanks? IIRC actively masking the thermal signature of the tank so that instead of looking like a tank it looks like a car?

I wonder how they got past the second law of thermodynamics. Even if they could make the tank look like a hatchback on a thermal imager it would still be like twenty times hotter than any car, and the “masked” portions of the vehicle would still stand out against the background and produce an easily recognisable silhouette.

Question: What are the prospects for Russian-European trade and economic relations? Considering that Russia supplies almost one third of hydrocarbons to Europe, which will apparently be looking for an alternative. How does Moscow imagine the development of these relations?

Sergey Lavrov: I won’t even try to guess what Europe is going to do. I think she (except for German Chancellor O. Scholz and Vice-Chancellor R. Habeck) understood where she ended up. Read the statistics on how many times the US economic growth is faster than Europe. France, apparently, will be in the “zeros”. The once “locomotives” of the European economy (Germany, Great Britain) will “grow” downwards. After a series of laws adopted by the Americans to combat inflation and other topics, energy prices in the United States are 4-5 times lower than in Europe, where deindustrialization is taking place. Businesses thinking about their future move to the United States. I am convinced that this is not just a coincidence, but a deliberate policy of Washington. Because Europe is also a competitor that the United States does not need. They need a group of “gray” people who do what they order. I don’t want to offend Europeans, but this is exactly how the current political elites act. Let's look at the statistics. It's useful to understand what's going on.

But at this stage we do not need to think about how to restore relations with Europe. Now we need to think about how not to depend on the “twists” in European politics (primarily in the trade, economic, and investment spheres) that they make under the influence of Washington. We must protect ourselves in all key sectors of our economy (security and life in general), on which the future of the country depends. We must independently produce everything we need for security, economic development, providing solutions to social issues, introducing modern technologies (another event on artificial intelligence was recently held), so as not to suffer from new “whims” when and if they want to attack us with sanctions. The restrictions have not disappeared anywhere. The West wants to finish everything “on the sly,” in a cunning way. Freeze, buy time (as was the case with the Minsk agreements), again arm the Nazi regime in Kyiv and continue their hybrid (or non-hybrid) aggression against the Russian Federation. But even when everything is over, most of the sanctions will remain. We need to live by our own mind. When and if they “sober up” and they offer us something, we will think ten times, weigh whether all the proposals meet our interests and how reliable our European colleagues are. They have greatly undermined their ability to negotiate and their reputation. It may not be final yet.

There, everything is answered. And yes, Russia will talk to Washington only and only when she sees that Washington is ready to talk. Well, this is what happens when the high-school basketball team tries to play with NBA squad. Everything has been calculated and forecasted.

Ukrainian psychological operations in the future will be described in textbooks
Specifically, in the dictionary. Under "Cope".

Given that we've seen Russians cheerfully evaporate normal road vehicles with a kornet, this may not be the winning strategy they think it is.

Literally all tanks are sitting ducks without air support. It's funny that after video after video of man-portable ATGMs blowing up tanks, people are still in the least bit surprised that rounds fired out of helicopters and artillery, which are far more powerful, crush tanks like soda cans.

Yeah, i don't think people realize what 155/152 mm shell will do landing close to a tank. Nevermind hitting it will do. For all the ATGM's vids i'd make a confidently wager that bulk of the tank loses are artillery related on the Russian side. Same for helicopters. Although with helicopters that was expected as past conflicts indicated as such and while MANPADS got better. DIRCM systems like president-S have shown to be quite effective in nullifying/reducing that treat.
