So in the first game, there's this asshole prosecutor who serves as your antagonist for most of the game. In the very second case, he pulls off this (probably illegal) shit:
All just to derail your case and try and stick an unjustified conviction.
It's just a great example of an asshole (and probably illegal) move that it's now used as a shorthand for unethical behaviour for those in the know.
To have the FBI do the same thing would be a statement of the clown world we now live in, where a supposed videogame caricature of the justice system is now being played out in real life.

MDMA is not lightly-modified meth. You can't put meth through a process and turn it into MDMA, or vice versa, you can't add or remove steps from the process of making meth and get MDMA or vice versa. MDMA is not a type of methamphetamine. They have a similar molecular structure and that's why methamphetamine is in the name of MDMA but that's about it
