Heavy metals seem like a shitty poison. People will get sick and there would be an autopsy to figure out what happened. I could image a drug cocktail that would give an old fat man a heart attack and no one would ever bother look for skulduggery. Even a straight up deadly poison, pick your poison, would likely be more effective at killing if you don't care about discrestion. The murder attempt failing because the target's demure wife got sick first is pretty lame for assassination plots.

I am pretty ignorant here but to me it seems that there IS a rift between the military leaders and big-Z and it has nothing to do with any russian interference.
Upper military ranks seems to be a rotating door for generals as they fail to implement Z's campaign.

It seems like big-Z is micromanaging the military operations and overriding the generals on how/where and when to deploy.
Several times we see the generals wanting to do tactical retreats because the positions are unwinnable but Z refusing to retreat and instead keeps sending troops to just be slaughtered for pointless objectives and situations that have already been lost.

I think that eventually he will be ousted by his own generals who will then negotiate peace with the russians. They will have to remove him because otherwise he will just keep sending people to unwinnable battles until he runs out of people.

The Netherlands doesn't really get any Germany/EU tax payer money, they subsidize the whole thing. What they (used to) get out of the deal was easy access to the shared market, but honestly, that's becoming an increasingly irrelevant benefit as the EU regulates itself back into feudalism only this time with millions of niggers. The big issue is the Eurocrats will retaliate against anyone leaving in a desperate attempt to salvage their dreams of living like absolutist rulers, but if the entire EU fell apart and someone nuked Brussels and Strasbourg, everyone but a small cadre of these communists would be much better off.
