The Official Pizza Thread - Discuss all pizza here

I thought that was going to be a General Hospital video, since the Quartermaine family always has to order pizza on Thanksgiving.

My favorite snack are these mini pizzas from crosta mollica...they're delicious, absolutely the best frozen pizza out there.

Pizza is apparently considered a bread dish in Italy.
When it was invented, it was poverty food, and the (expensive) toppings were to spice it up a bit, but used sparingly so it could be sold cheaply.

Americans mostly seem to view the crust as a delivery vehicle for a bunch of greasy shit.

Margherita is god-tier. New York style a decent second. Chicago is an abomination (that I will admit I am not above eating).

Frankly, I'm happy with anything where I don't feel like I have to throw the crust away.

If you hate mixing up pizza dough like me, this pre-made dough is inexpensive & crisps up perfectly on the bottom level of an electric oven. Sells out often:

It's up there, but, my first go-to is probably always gonna be Papa John's if it's an option where I happen to be. The hut was always juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust a bit too on the greasy side for me.
I remember Papa John's pizza dough being dry and chewy. It's okay, but nothing special. Even WITH toppings and dipping sauce.

Make it a habit to brush after eating pizza. That grease and cheese can cause bad breath and sweats.

Normally I’m of the opinion all pizza is good pizza, but (unpopular opinion) Little Caesar’s has really gone downhill since the 90s and early 2000s. I know, I know, it’s cheap ass pizza so lower expectations, which I do, still at the bottom tier list for me.

Truly unpopular pizza opinion? 7-Eleven’s gross pizza tastes better than Little Caesar’s

I used to like their hot-and-ready cheese pizza back in the day. Now all they have is pepperoni.

The objective best way to reheat pizza is just to acknowledge the fact that leftover pizza will never be as good as fresh pizza (YWNBATAFP, You Will Never Be As Tasty As Fresh Pizza) and just heat it up any way that is convenient. For me, it's just reheating it on light heat in an air fryer or oven and just making sure it doesn't dry out too much.

I've been on a real bread baking kick lately. That includes homemade pizza dough. Right now my main focus is a basic ass all purpose pizza dough recipe that can be easily converted into breadsticks, garlic knots, etc. It freezes very well so I currently have a couple batches worth in the freezer ready to thaw overnight in the fridge then prep and bake.

Topping tax: I love a good simple pepperoni, but usually make pepperoni and bacon when I'm home. I've also discovered that pesto can taste really good on pizza (usually with salami and/or cherry tomatoes). However, pepperoni is something you can never go wrong with.

The actual correct way is to not reheat it. If pizza is bad cold, it's bad pizza.

I used to love Little Caesar's as a kid.

Then the location closed.

Then it became a medical office.

Then it became a weed store.

Now it just sits empty.

Little Caesar's is one of the first pizzas I remember not enjoying.
