Nearly all the coverage today was on Russian governmental, political and foreign relations issues. Today's update (the 28th) contained one sentence outlining the seven or so areas where the Russians were on the offensive but saying nothing else.

ISW seems to have reached the point where there is no good news to tell from Ukraine anymore.

It's a literal non-issue today. It was an issue in 2001 before they added the automatic cleaner.
The fact that turbines are vulnerable to foreign debris has been known since they were invented.
Running a diesel without an air filter (or with one clogged with dust) isn't a good idea either.

Most of the Abrams sales and deployments have been in the middle east where dust is far worse issue than in Ukraine. Its also been operated by countries with armies as bad or worse than Ukraine.

Fuel efficiency makes sense, though. Now more than ever, we’ve seen how effective drones are at taking out convoys, and the yanks need huge and constant convoys of avgas to keep their tanks running. It’s an enormous liability when Russian tanks can just use diesel.
