It's less of a country and more of a region that the surrounding countries to bother with.

No unified language, religion, culture. You can have two villages less than a 5 minute helicopter ride between them but if on ground, it's a 3 month trek.

IIRC the issue with Iraq in particular was that the new government was made to not have a single Baathist element to it and so the US completely purged everyone who ever had been part of the Baath party out of the public sector. Now for decades before 2003, the only way one could seriously get into any role requiring trust or have real wages was to be a member of the Baath party since apparently Saddam took his loyality enforcement measures from the toothbrush moustace man. This of course led to a scenario where guys who had become members of the party for the sake of being able to deliver mail or fix a telephone switch couldn't do their jobs because they didn't have the foresight that 25 years later from 1977, they would be unceremonously fired and have no pensions or anything to fall on because they did what was expected of them at the time. Red has made videos on Chinese armor before. VT-4 in particular has been exported and quite a lot is known about it given that its a newer vehicle. There's info coming out about it not only from China, but Pakistan and Thailand as well. Its a modern vehicle, as modern as a 2010s battle tank can be. I'm sure whatever nonsense that Lazerpig will spout about it can be disproven easily by available information and data.

I understand the sentiment of banning the party and harshly punishing ranking members to prevent them from regaining power, but this is yet another example of American nation-building taking all the examples of WWII without remembering context. They at least understood back then that people who join the party liked to do it for lots of normal reasons, as any human who aspires to have nice things would. They knew that they needed to only deal with the people who actually ran the show while the plebs can be told that they are simply under new management, here's the new corporate policy and off you go back to work. If they are still dumb enough to not recognize the new management, then that's who you actually get rid of.

Not sure if it was brought up before, but there was a small drama involving peeg and 2S7 pion on xitter. The long and short of it, Pion tried to correct some of peeg's claims and/or doubted their validity, only to be accused of various things for his troubles, including but not being limited to: being called a vatnik, begging for money, and the heinous act of being mean to him.
He then tries to join his discord, ask him what that's all about and find a solution and gets instantly banned by his jannies. This is then followed by peeg making up even more claims about Pion, more specifically going into his DMs on xitter and telling him that RedEffect is better than him (lol).

Back on topic, I'm surprised that an establishment such as the Tank Museum, a very good English authority on tanks by virtue of simply having them, many of them running, would degrade themselves so low as to invite an obvious lowest common denominator 'entertainer' who's gimmick is to be a non-serious, sex pervert clown.

The Tank Museum is registered as a charity so they're in a constant struggle to 1- remain relevant since that keeps their funds rolling, and 2- acquire more funds. So, them calling any youtuber over 100k subscribers who ever made a video about tanks (or military vehicles, for that matter) makes sense. They're trying their hardest to be hip. Of course, guys like Ed from the Tank Archives have more than a few bones to pick with them about how they run their shit but I'm pretty sure that's unrelated to their youtube museum.

I also did not see it, and a search does not reveal it, but the hog also has a playlist of unlisted videos which he has hidden from his channel but are in this playlist. The Tank Museum is very very profit oriented. I get why as you've already stated. People's gripes with The Tank Museum is that they tend to neglect vehicles that aren't the Tiger and various others notable vehicles. They've even scrapped a couple prototypes and test beds iirc.

If I'm being honest The Tank Museum's YouTube videos aren't that great overall. Particularly, the ones with David Fletcher. Yes I know I'm insulting the funny mustache man. He's done a few notable works a lot of which are outdated now but new and significant back in the 80s when they were written. Lot of his tank chats just tend to be wrong. Not wrong in the autist not picky way but wrong in basic information that Wikipedia gets right. Granted he's old and probably senile but they should really proofread their info.

The other David, the curator. He's not as bad but isn't perfect. I have a fair number of criticisms.

The new curator who does the Tank Chat Reloaded. I quite like him. Again, not perfect but significantly better and honestly more passionate than both Davids. You can tell by the information presented and quality of the videos.
