Probably. I still vividly remember when Splatoon 1 came out and Tumblr latched onto it big time. Nintendo made an official Tumblr account where they posted updates (they chose Tumblr over Twitter back then, mind you) and it pretty much experienced around the same amount of buzz that Undertale would get a few months later, on both Tumblr and Soundcloud.
