so recently smug anglo libtard hhbomberguy made a video exposing popular youtubers for reuploading and not properly crediting sources our sites founder null in response enjoyed this video prompting backlash from some he then elaborated on his thoughts on the matter
Yeah but that's fucking gay.

So much of Internet content is these lazy shithead aggregators that just take other people's pictures, videos, articles, and social media posts, then just reposting them. Almost always, the context is neutered and the identities scrubbed. Half the time they even remove dates, so you can't notice the thing you're supposed to be angry at happened literally 10 years ago.

YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Xitter are all competitors competing for attention. It really doesn't benefit them to be proactive about large channels on their platforms wholesale stealing people's shit. A considerable amount of money changing hands from Facebook Ads to "meme channels" is literally just for going to YouTube, downloading a video, and reuploading it to a new audience (existing, in legal terms, in the same reserved market).

And as someone who doesn't like copyright as a concept I still find this aggravating because of how far out of the way these people go to make sure you CANNOT FIND the original source, even when you want to. I agree with hbomberguy that this is a symptom of guilt. These people know what they're doing is wrong and instead of not doing it they just choose to cover their tracks better.

Even xQc, who people point and gawk at as being the king of copyright theft, does not infringe as much as these people do. He is playing videos with source information on screen from the perspective of an average viewer. If he watches something you think is funny, you can find it on your own easily. The information and content laundering building careers across the Internet is done through deceit and people with merit, creativity, and work ethic are left behind when they don't have the built-in audience to benefit from selling to.

It's quite frankly fucking bullshit.
is null in the right or is he just butthurt people read kiwifarms on youtube STAY TUNED

he is wrong this is the guy who said copyright is bullshit and that artists should starve to death but now all of a sudden hes butthurt people reupload content because some leftist anglo told him the lengths you people go to suck nulls dick appals me
You can think copyright is bullshit and still think crediting sources is the right thing to do.
As a musician, I do have some time for copyright. I post all my shit on YouTube for free anyway, but if someone took it and didn't credit me? Big mad. Steal my song and use it in your video sure, but credit me and don't pretend it's you.

I understand crediting people but you also have to understand if someones to credit kiwifarms they will get canceled or at the very least discredited I personally say credit people but its not like the guy who thinks they should starve is all of a sudden concerned about the artists content getting reuploaded

I don't think debating Null is necessary. I think we need to debate you. This is just inherently wrong and easily proven with one youtuber: Turkey Tom. He references/credits the farm a shit-ton and has a huge audience.

In that case you agree with me and Null.
is that nulls view or is nulls view that you should be forced to give credit my view is its nice but should not be required also why did maddox get backlash for making the same points as bomberguy did but bomberguy is praised

I personally think any artistic endeavour it should be required. Music and drawing, writing etc all take a bit of your soul to create. It's only fair to be credited.
It used to be the joke that you would get paid "in exposure". Now can't even rely on that.

Merely asking to be credited isn't a tall order. It's the professional thing to do, and Null knows a great deal on being professional.
null knows jack shit about being professional he literally tells ISPs to fuck off then wonders why they don't work with him i would not put null in charge of a lemonade stand in fear he would spergout at my customers

null and my view is copyright should be abolished that being said the creative commons license requires credit and its a good thing but I don't think it should be required I think a better aproach would be youtube or spotify embedding your video when its played but i think your arguement that taking a bit of soul makes it required could be applied to none creative works

Always funny when libertarian retards find out why laws exist.
real libertarians like myself believe we should have laws that enforce things like social morallity but laws like copyright do more harm than good and should be abolished
oh this is a bait thing. my bad.
its not bait its a debate too different types of bait

I've never heard any serious libertarian express opinions like these. Are you sure you're one?
