Yeah, it wasn't hard to see, and once again. Nobody would have given a fuck if he just said he was adapting the article. Not a single solitary fucking soul would have been upset.What surprises me about the plagiarism is not the fact it happened, but how blatant it was.
Lifting the "hour-by-hour" narrative framing of the article is one thing but he'd be able to get away with that. The problem is the script actually copied segments of the article verbatim. That is so extremely blatant that if he was the one who wrote the script and he thought this was totally OK, similar occurrences would probably surface in a ton of different videos he's done. It wouldn't be hard to figure out. Type parts of his scripts into Google and see if anything comes up. I don't care enough to to try, but it's safe to say people are trying it.
If no other plagiarism is out there, then my guess is that he's started outsourcing scriptwriting and whoever he hired to ghostwrite the cave video was lazy and lifted someone else's work in a really obvious way. I don't know enough about him to know if he's confirmed that people help him with the writing or research. If he hasn't that's my guess why there's been silence.
