He starts the segment off so giddy to try to take him down, but also says that you can't search for the reupload since its unlisted, but it isnt. A simple search of "internet historian cave" would get you the video and its still on his list of videos. He does seem to have an axe to grind because of his sense of humor and being "cringe" to tumblr users. Just comes across as spiteful from a guy who even implies IH has trolls remorse when HBG essentially built up his channel off of it. It comes across as projection and also spiteful towards a person he feels is on the wrong side of history. It's annoying HBG implies that any joke a fan makes on social media about a situation is also a condemnation of the creator itself. Even changing the plagiarizing content is not enough to appease the anglo. Also at some point retelling an accurate history will be mostly reusing the same sources and if they arent using primary sources then they would be using the same presumably accurate secondary sources. And the "Vivid storytelling" he praises in the article is 3 sentences at the bottom of a paragraph but also proper in article citations arent given in the mental floss article either because it is a fucking edutainment article and not an academic paper. Also the "HAHA did you know I'm GAY I like BALLS" joke at the end of the segment while also shitting on his humor is second to none. Maybe he is trying to see if he can leech off some of that IH subscriber base that kinda stuck around despite inconsistent uploads at best and yet still having 3x the subscriber count.
What chafes me is HBG even pretty much said "the credit given was the proper thing and the reuploaded video satisfies me but it is too late and you can never fix what was done". If that were the case then why try. and if you truly can never fix what you've done then HBG should always be reminded of that time he was intimately involved with spreading hate online.
But at the end of the day it's a youtube video that repackages info in a way that is more digestible for an audience and yes they profit off of it, but the same shit happens with other youtubers that HBG featured in that very video as a victim of a plagiarist like legal eagle for not properly citing all his sources at all times.

While still claiming the video is fair use, and presumably always has been, which begs the question why he was initially so intent on hiding where he got his script from, if you are one of the people who think it was somehow an honest mistake.

I think people misread to post to apply to all criticism. I was highlighting some something I saw in the previous pages. There were a bunch of people saying exactly what I greentexted and those posts were some of the most upvoted.

I think the problem is that Null is taking Hbombs word that the video is whole sale plagiarized when it simply isn't, as it also contains both skits and animations seperate from the article itself, its absolutely a transformative work without a doubt, and you'd be hard pressed to argue its not in a court of law.

I'm willing to guess Null has never watched IH, given that he seemed to think IH rewrote his entire script to be an "inferior" version of the original, when if you actually watch the two videos the differences are negligible.
