Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Would you really trust the current crop of any influential media writers to be creative enough to understand this?
I'm actually surprised no one has done it because despite having no evidence, I'm certain that Ryan Reynolds movie, Free Guy, happened because someone watched a Goldvision video (youtuber who does pacifist GTA Online). I refuse to believe no one in Hollywood has seen, like, JayStation or something and said "OY VEY, I HAVE AN IDEA!"

Elliot Rodger is pathetic but hearing about his parents ignoring his obvious crippling autism made me feel a bit of pity. Just… How does your son act that autistic and you don’t do anything about it? I get this was a different time but still he wasn’t being that subtle about being a weird sperg.
Chris-Chan by any other name....minus the murder.

Anyhoo on Wendigoon accepting the daddy shit, I think he was the one who outright invited it in. he straight up LARPed as a dad during his disturbing movie iceberg video.

So he didn't just lean into it, he opened Pandora's box.

There was a decent YouTube horror series about a tranny janny and his friends researching old memes, and they find the origin of Smiledog and it possesses their computers. There's a bit where it's trying to mentally break them by saying mostly edgelord creepy things, but when it's haranguing the AGProgrammer, it talks about shared delusions and implies his friends are all just lying to him and don't believe he's a woman. It's a nice spin on it, I thought.
Found it, it was Chainmail Chasers.

Dead Stream is about the closest thing you can find unless I'm missing something.
It's a Horror/Comedy movie about a streamer stuck in a haunted house after
he fucked with the spirits for a youtube challenge.
It's a decent movie, I'd give it a 7/10

Here's the trailer
Saw that like six months ago, went into it not really knowing much about it. Once I realized it was comedy horror I became more forgiving of some of the effects. One of the things I enjoyed the most was while all this horrible shit is going on he's still livestreaming and his audience in pretty typical twitch fashion spends most of the time shitting on him.

It's kinda shocking how accurate they were when it came to portraying "Influencers"
Like damn, they hit the nail on the head.

The parts where he kicks the shit out of the ghosts are the best.

the actor does a great job of playing an obnoxious youtuber you see on the front page who obsesses over monetization and chases attention
but i think the intro was kinda unnecessary and it wouldve been cooler if the film started with that fakeout shot

Saw this the other day on commentary channel Sunnyv2's community tab and it felt so fucking random.

I almost wanna roll my eyes at people who act like one million+ subs are in the same range as less than 100k.

But alas we live in the age where absurdly high subscriber numbers keep getting competed for.

Edit: pardon my tism. Here's the text in full.

"This channel is so damn good, it's a crime that it doesn't have more subs, so here's a random shoutout."

I figured Sunny did that randomly as a tongue in cheek joke since Nick isn’t obscure at all but who knows. Sunny had some drama months ago about Chris from Mr. Beast so maybe he’s trying to rebuild his image by sucking up to bigger YouTubers.

The rest of his channel looks like standard nerd culture icebergs but this came across my recommendations and I'll pass it on. It has the distinction of being an iceberg video I've put on as babbling noise to fall asleep to and had to sit up to turn it off after twenty minutes because it was a little too interesting each time I skipped to a random point and let it run.

It's not incredibly unique with things nobody has seen before but there are a decent amount I haven't. As a grab bag of weird, occasionally morbid, and interesting topics to open tabs for to revisit on a boring day it's solid and there's seven hours of it.

I got this video recommended to me, and the case is pretty interesting. The "victim" is a Japanese granny tranny who was a known sexpest that pretended to be a younger woman to get close to real women. He targetted lesbians and was banned from several establishments for sexually assaulting women. The youtuber says that he wasn't really "trans", but come on. It's Japan where that shit hasn't been normalized, and if he had come out he would have been ostracised. If he had lived in the West, he would just have been yet another rapey transbian. Instead, he crossed the wrong girl and she conspired with her parents to kill him.

Yeah, I saw that story.
Her father is a shrink, and they think he coached her to say certain things so that they would have to evaluate her to see if she's even fit to stand trial. She also apparently even has public support.
My thoughts are, Tranny granny got what was comming to 'em. I feel bad for his family, but certainly not him. He wasa massive creep that got away with that shit for way to long... but, that doesn't mean Runa(the girl that offed him) deserves to get off scott free. She should at least do some prison time for how brutal she was.
