I hope it's good bros.

A fat negress twerking on top of a roof is funny if she falls off and bounces like a medicine ball. It would make me sad if it's a celebration of her culture (:_(

I was just out of college when GTAV came out and it was so much fun. I might be old and jaded and may just *siiiipppppp* stick to city builders and RTSs at this point of my life.

Why does Rockstar keep going back to the same well? Vice City was almost entirely a homage to the show Miami Vice and was heavily defined by it's 80s setting,
You never played the original game. LS,LC & VC are basically the entire GTA universe. Outside of their London DLC/Expansion GTA has always been about the US. I love VC (2002), but there is no law that says it's 80's or nothing. Granted, I wish R* would stop leaning so hard into the 80s vibe in this game if it's neither set in the 80s nor has the population/tone/atmosphere of the fictional 80s vision of Miami.

Why not somewhere based on like, Dublin? Shanghai? Mexico City?
The Housers were fascinated by US pop culture, not Mexican, Chinese or Irish culture.
They might all be mostly gone, but that sentiment will remain. America still exports it's culture and the world follows (as pozzed and gay as that culture may now be).

There's an empty market for any dev team/publishing house to fill the void, but no one seems to want to do it.
I believe there's money to be made in a satirized Tijuana or Monterrey that showcases and parodies the state of Mexico/Southern Border culture, social climate and history.
Seeing Narcos, DEA Agents, Bleeding heart west coasters, all mixed in and mocked would be dimes, but current year wouldn't allow it because showcasing beaners as criminals or shedding some light into the brutal underworld of cartels is something the media, NGOs, and "concerned citizens" don't want anyone to see.
A game where you can take up the role of a young man unwillingly plunged into becoming a sicario after a life of poverty and hunger, committing crimes like human trafficking and drug distribution; working for people like corrupt DEA agents and Chapo-parodies... no major publisher is going to fund that today.

Best to play it safe and continue mocking America.

Doesn't look bad.

With everyone bitching about niggers niggering around, this is supposed to be a satire of America. The teaser showed only things happening in America every summer.
Expect troons galore and DeSantis and Drumpf stand-ins.

It will probably not be as offensive to me as GTA 5 was.
Playing a literal cuck who simps for his horrible family of pornstar daughter, stoner son and whore wife was bad enough, but hearing a disgusting cannibalistic rape-psycho lecture me about immigration, respecting women and the morality of torture really soured that game for me.

This will be a fun sandbox to drive around in and shoot people, but if the missions don't actually take advantage of the massive city and sandbox I don't see the point in buying this one at full price after how much of a tease GTA5 was. They made this big beautiful open world and you spend so much of it on rails when you play the story missions. Wouldn't even be worth 10 dollars if all it's gonna be is a bunch of shitty minigames interspersed with the occasional shoot out in a linear corridor disguised as an open street like GTA 5 was.

Remember what they took from us and how they race swapped > OURGUY

Like Tears in the Rain.

But really, her not looking completely like a gorilla in the real footage was the only surprising thing about this teaser,
I'll play it in 2026 when it's on PC with a mod that turns her into Toobie from Near Tomato
For a few hours before I get bored because it's going to be a shitty TPS with a million cutscenes and dumb minigames like the rest of the franchise.

GTA 3's trailer is not technically the debut, but I can't find a good version of it.
GTA III was interesting in the fact R* had little hope for it following E3. No one cared about it despite the playable demo. All the game journalists were interested in State Of Emergency instead.
I can imagine a blackpilled R* North half-assing the trailer for a game that was seemingly destined for the clearance aisle.

Once the game was a success and all, goddamn did they nail it with the commercials.
I still vividly remember watching WWF SmackDown Thursday nights and seeing this ad pop up 2x throughout the show's commercial breaks.

Lame. All GTA has to offer is 3 maps for the series. Do something new? Philadelphia? Chicago?
Also lol? 2025? Bold of you to think the world will still exist in 2024
Minneapolis with George Floyd as the protagonist would be cool even though we already know the ending.

It's such wasted potential that they are STILL recycling Liberty, Vice, Los Santos, Liberty, Los Santos, Vice, over and over after all these years. The GTA world feels very small and creatively stale at this point, and some interesting new cities and locations could have injected some life and interest back into the series. Why not somewhere based on like, Dublin? Shanghai? Mexico City? There are so many cool cities with their own criminal underworld and subcultures. Why does Rockstar keep going back to the same well? Vice City was almost entirely a homage to the show Miami Vice and was heavily defined by it's 80s setting, I don't really see the appeal of 2020s Vice City with phone videos of twerking and le funny Florida Man (a meme current on reddit 10-15 years ago). Based on the trailer alone it seems soulless and uninteresting to me, granted it's just a trailer but its purpose is to get me excited and I'm nodding off.
The problem is it has to be set in America, GTA can't realistically work anywhere else due to GTA being an over the top take on American culture.

Second there's the necessity of the map being an Island which means it has to be a proper coastal city, to which there's not that many relevant ones left, San Francisco is overdone, New Orleans was ruined by Katrina, all the other southern coastal cities are irrelevant.

The viable options you have left is Boston, and maybe Seattle or DC.

If Houston wasn't such a shithole and San Antonio and Austin weren't so far away from the coast, I could see a GTA set in Texas.

It's either that or that one weird guy that was bothered that the people have tattoos lol. What's wrong with tattoos? Like color in that blank skin sometime, you naked mole rat :story:

I actually liked Resident Evil 5.
It's not bad but RE4 is the greatest goddamn work of art ever

After GTA VI, what's next? Where would it even take place? Would it be rebooted again?
You niggers would complain that a game set in Africa has black people in it jesus christ.
You know what's funny? Some people complained about Resident Evil 5 being able to kill African zombies. In a game set in Africa for a level.

preview video is up, unlocks in 15 hours

Barely any actual story elements. I know it's a teaser trailer and everything. C'mon, give me a little excitement if you want a fucking hard-on. All I can guess is that the Latina character will be a total girlboss and girlboss over everything.

It'd be nice to see Vice City again reimagined to be bigger and better but given how kind of shitty GTA V is in retrospect I don't have high hopes for this game. I expect a lot of puff pieces on realism like the ones that came out for RDR2 though.

How much you want to bet they turn on each other? Or get gunned down in a blaze of glory?

Is this all pre-rendered? Other GTA trailers were all in-engine, weren't they?

I don't have a problem with a female protagonist if it's written well. The trailer was only brief, but she didn't seem annoying. A Bonnie and Clyde story in the GTA universe would be a lot of fun, and just about the best way to have a female protag in GTA without it feeling forced.

The main bad thing I took away from the trailer is the 2025 release (meaning the PC release will be in 2026). You'd think Rockstar would figure out how to release to PC at the same time by now.

I don’t have much faith in modern Shartstar to produce anything of quality especially after the Houser brothers and Leslie Benzies were exiled from the company years ago.

I’m gonna call it this game is gonna be ESG dogshit
If the trailer alone is nigger worship, how bad do you think the game's actual dialogue and story will be?
