There should definitely be a FAQ section. In the OP or a second post. At the very least, it should be linked in the OP if we cannot get a second post.

People coming into the thread who tuned out during WW or who have no context at all are shocked when they hear about Hedonism II and his 'my wife's body is destroyed' rant. Things like that should be something that is easily located.

For all those reasons and more, this OP is overdue for a re-write.

I was not a Nick fan prior to the Vic Lasagna case. I think I saw maybe one or two of his videos / streams prior to that, so I was not living the lore. That said, I was a BPITU and Maddox fan prior to the dissolution of the podcast. (I'm old and the Best Page in the Universe and Maddox's first book were both comedy gold, in the day.)

Trying to piece this together (look, I've been busy), it feels like there were signs of Balldoman being a scumbag back in the day, but he is was a lawyer. Is this Maddox stuff with Rackets a big deal, or is it a nothingburger but Maddox being butthurt and trying to clown 5 years too late?

The Maddox trial coverage is how Nicky went from spiritual boomer that lives on Facebook to the at best sub par legal streamer he was until recently.
The Maddox trial was a watershed moment for the Sektur of bottom tier internet comedy. Lots of people came out of the woodwork to attack Maddox, cause it was funny and/or cause they were former fans who grew to hate him over time. And because it was funny they accrued an audience very fast. And none of those people seem that have learned the actual lessons to be gleamed from that event.
Nicky specifically was one of those people that got a decently sized following from it. Because he was a lawyer it gave credence to his videos and also to people like Dick he appeared more favorably and as such was given multiple large time slots on his show. I remember that one of the things Dick praised Nick on at the time was how Nick was a lawyer and had a nice loving family was filmed singing Disney songs with them while Juju was busy being sued by his former co worker over stupid shit. People today would say Juju was actually insulting Rakieta at the time(since he does the fake compliments bullshit constantly) but I think back then the praise was earnest.
In hindsight this is a very good starting point for a counter argument to his I never changed bullshit. If back then even a pegging enthusiast was impressed by his wholesome appearing lifestyle then either he is a very good at deception or has changed. And Nicky is not good at anything.

Re: Rittenhouse, it seems he has had a break with his family and the people who testifies at his trial. His sister has been posting messages calling their brother's book full of lies and that he 'betrayed'his family. He has management that is trying to make him a right-wing grifter puppet. I did however watch the majority of V-Radio's interview with Kyle's oldest sister Faith (with cameos from Grambo and Kyle's mother Wendy) from yesterday.

Spoiler: Interview summary

- V-Radio is upset that he feels Kyle's book unnecessarily aired his family's dirty laundry that had nothing to do with the trial
- V-Radio implied that he contacted other YTubers with bigger audiences to see if they would pick up the story, but they weren't interested. I'm assuming he contacted Nick with specifically naming him because he quipped "some of these creators are interviewing him tonight".
- Kyle's book isn't out in hardcopy format yet, but they've at least reviewed digital advanced copies of some sections. V-Radio described having to stop after a few paragraphs in some sections because the prose made them angry/nauseous.
- The book is expected to ship next week, but pre-orders may already have access to a digital Kindle copy.
- They described the book as 200 pages, but mostly irrelevant filler with about 20 pages of actual pertinent info.
- The book was ghostwritten by some journoscum newspaper writer. They claim it was formatted like a newspaper article with single sentence paragraphs.
- Faith implied Kyle is too terrible to write anything himself. She admits to writing his English papers for him in HS.
- Kyle apparently dropped out of university (can't recall if it was Arizona or Texas A&M)
- Kyle is no longer in contact with his family. He blocked his sister's text over 2 months ago after she reached out and told him she loved him but was very hurt by the allegations in the book.
- The Rittenhouse family consists of at least their mother Wendy, an elder sister Faith and a young sister McKenzie. It sounds like there is also a previously estranged father who was possibly a drug addicts and "used to like to party". It sounds like he's clean now and has reconciled at least with his daughters.
- The Rittenhouse family has moved "very far away" from Wisconsin to an undisclosed state.
- The fact continues to struggle financially. His mother just got a new job having to wake up at 1:30 am to report to work by 4. His sister Faith left high school to complete it online and to work PT. She wants to be trauma nurse but can't afford college. His youngest sister McKenzie wants to be an U/S tech.
- His sister Faith was angry he dropped out of college when she is struggling financially to afford it herself. She knows he knows what it's like to be working poor and be stuck working for minimum wage.
- Faith describes how she could hear Kyle's mother Wendy crying behind closed doors every night until his trial was over.
- Kyle's whole family would eat lunch with Mark Richards and his legal team during the lunchbreaks of the trial when they were in attendance. Faith thinks he's a good man. Richards wrote the foreword for Kyle's book. They are confused why Richards would endorse a tell-all book with pending civil litigation. They speculate it may be a fundraiser for legal costs.
- There a multitude of things they take issue with in the book, mostly internecine details and quibbling over semantics. They feel their father was unfairly portrayed as a degenerate when he's a least somewhat reformed. Their mother was portrayed as absent and unsupportive when she was gone all the time making money to keep the family afloat. A sister was portrayed as a HS dropout when she switched to online education. Kyle also mentions his mother's new boyfriends when the family feels that's personal and unrelated to his legal ordeal.
- Apparently Kyle also implies in the book that his friend Dominic whose gun he borrowed was a bad influence that lead to the events in Kenosha. His family is still on good terms with Dominic. Faith considers him a "little brother". He was on scene the night of Kenosha and Grambo also stood up for him. The hosts of the show specifically seem to be reticent to discuss anything about him in detail for reasons unclear. It's possible that he has some skeletons in his closet unrelated to Kenosha.
- Jack Posobiec was named as an example of a right-wing influencer who may have Kyle's ear and is leading him astray.
Addendum (watched a little more)
- Faith believes Kyle's mom and sisters are "dead to him"
- The Rittenhouse household seems to have a chirping smoke detector
- V-Radio takes some pot shots at Nick
- He thinks Good Lawgic and Nate the Lawyer are Lawtubers that actually do the work
- Feels Nick was just at the right place at the right time getting drunk watching the trial making several hundred thousand dollars
- V-Radio claims to have declined offers for personal donations for his Rittenhouse coverage, instead recommended people donate to Kyle's legal defense fund at the time.

TL;DR

- No real smoking guns from the family re: Kyle's book
- Kyle is estranged from his mother and sisters
- They are hurt that he aired personal details, mischaracterizations and half-truths about them for personal gain that should've remained confidential and have no relation to his trial

If that's how you really feel, the dignified thing would be to shut up and say nothing, not to go on a tour of competing talk shows to bad mouth your brother.

If you're selling an autobiography, you can't get away with NOT talking about your family background. It doesn't sound as though Kyle had the best, most supportive upbringing. I'm assuming if he had, he'd still be in contact with his family. Disassociating like that is a hard thing to do -- and very much harder if you've been through the kind of massive trauma that Kyle went through.

My guess is that his grievance is with mum and dad, and the siblings are just sucked in because they're (inevitably) siding with the parents.

Also: it sounds like they all think that Rittenhouse's experience should have been the sort of thing that transformed their economic situation. Now, don't get me wrong here, I'm Team Rittenhouse all the way and always have been -- but I don't think a self defence shooting is the kind of thing that anybody expects to get wealthy from. It certainly shouldn't be the kind of thing that your family feels entitled to get wealthy from. If mom was trailer trash before the incident, I'm not grasping why she wouldn't STILL be trailer trash afterwards?

I tried to look into the Mandy situation.

I think she is Amanda Marie Karevicius 43 years old, graduated high school in Louisiana and is now seemingly living in Kentucky. All the stuff about Texas, working as a mechanic at Ford and so on is just looking like made-up nonsense. There are no signs of a "Karevicius" in Waco TX or the Dallas Ft. Worth area.
