Youtube copyright system is fucked
The issue isn't YouTube's system, it's copyright law itself. YouTube's struck a pretty good balance between taking down actual copyright infringement (think Family Guy 24/7 livestream) and ensuring regular users who are protected by Fair Use aren't as easily nuked off the platform by bad actors abusing (and thus breaking) the DMCA, and most issues people have with things are caused by the law and not a choice YouTube themselves made.

Here is a clip of him reacting to his channel getting terminated:
Lol the cope.
It boggles my mind the most popular streamer in the world is a brainrotted ESL who can't put together a single coherent sentence. He talks like he's constantly having a seizure and it makes me feel like I'm having one too, holy shit.

Also love how he had to reassure himself on stream that this doesn't threaten his finances.

Okay so! I've caught up with the thread and a few takeaways. I will admit that I've never watched streamers or streams nor have I ever used Twitch.

So I am a bit unfamiliar with a lot of these fucks. And by god, I hate all of them.

Xqc is an annoying, unintelligible faggot who can't even communicate with his own maids or pick up the fucking plastic bags that he leaves on the floor.

I bet if he actually hit someone during his reckless bike run, he'd be flaunting his ugly watches at them or something instead of acting like a human being and taking responsibility for being a retard.

A circlejerk of fucks covering up sexual assault. Why the fuck not. I guess e-celebs gotta emulate their silver-screen counterparts in every way imaginable.
-
Asmongold terrifies me. Dude is loaded and his house looks like something you'd see on Hoarders. Why is he not doing anything about it? Or his teeth? You know, I would feel sorry for him but he has the means to fix everything. He just doesn't...for reasons beyond me.

Kai Cenat is a stupid nigger and I hate that he got rewarded despite causing a riot.
I hate this the most. Ugh that fucked with me something fierce. Fuck Pajeets.

In conclusion; yeah I'm glad I never bothered with Twitch. It seems like the gathering of the worst of the worst "mainstream" content creators.

Except for Vinesauce Joel, that guy has remained true to himself for the past 20 years and pumps out genuine (more often than not) funny commentary, parodies and music. Compared to peers from the video game genre like Jerma or Vinny, he hasn't gone downhill yet. Unfortunately he's an exception of the rule of shit.

Twitch has decided to cease operations in South Korea on February 27 2024.

There was a livestream today that gave more detail as to why and what will happen. Changes include:
- No longer being able to make transactions related to Twitch (donating bits/money, subscribing, buying Twitch Turbo) with all recurring payments being stopped after the shutdown date.
- Maximum viewing resolution reduced to 480p, from an already limited 720p. Not even if you use VPNs.
- Korean streamers can no longer monetize on Twitch.

This effectively limits the average Korean viewer to just viewing, chatting, and using channel points (redeems and predictions). VODs, clips, moments have been disabled earlier this year.

Why: Twitch claims that operating costs have gotten too expensive in Korea due to expensive internet/bandwidth fees, which they claim to be 10 times higher than that of other countries.

Phonefagging right now so if more people can get details in it would be appreciated.

Edit: some more details added
