And yet you’re in here posting this gay shit, shut up, faggot, stop trying to act aloof and above it all. Watch the internet men feud like a good boy.
>brand new account starting shit with first post

gg dumbass you'll do well here. Do you even know where you are? This entire forum is dedicated to autistic discussions about lolcows. I can see why you'd like Maddox though, you have similarly histrionic reactions to the mildest shit.

This has never been more apparent than with his feuds with Null and Eric July. Both largely refuse to be provoked by his nonsense so what great comedy does he fall back on? A bizarre obsession with push-ups and a traced coffee table. Great stuff.
I remember one of the last Dick shows I actually listened to was around the start of all the Eric shit, and it was truly a narc injury or some shit for him. He immediately started the podcast with his obnoxious screaming voice about how “a black man called me the N word Shaun!! Can you believe that Shaun?? Oh my god, I’m a beaner not an N word! ACKACKACKACKACK! PULL UP??? Like COME ON SHAUN!” For like ten minutes straight. I basically just occasionally listened at that point when I absolutely ran out of other shows but he really went off the deep end recently just because a black dude called him nigga and out-staged him with a comic book of all things. Can’t even stand his voice these days.

@Buster Scruggs that reminds me of that time Nick Fuentes had a meltdown over a female politician saying 'I did a thing'. It was a cringe tweet tbf but he couldn't stop screeching 'HAHA GUYS I DID A THING. HAHA' for ages.

-Dick knows about the previous point and spends every day knowing that his eternal never-wife wanted Maddox even after he moved on
Now it makes sense why Dax forced 80s girl to euthanize the cat Maddox got her. Literally coped and sneeded that his not wife still had feels for and wanted to go back to Maddox so he killed a innocent cat. Enjoy Maddox’s sloppy seconds Dax! She won’t ever think of you like she does Maddox.

I like seeing Juju complain about this because he had the exact same response when it was Keffals fucking with the Farms and trying to get it deplatformed.
So is Dick gonna pretend that he didn't sic his army on that man purse company that was sponsoring Maddox? Because I sure as fuck remember that.
I'll toss in some extra praise, Maddox definitely understands comedy better than Dick. Not once in my entire time viewing Dick Masterson have I ever laughed before even when I thought better of him, this video made me audibly laugh multiple times.
This is 100% true. Maddox was pretty mainstream for an Internet celebrity. Basically, if you weren't a normie who only used the Internet for school work, you knew who Maddox was, what his website was called and you probably also had a favorite article of his. It's hard to state how big he was on the 'early' Internet, especially considering where he is now, but an argument could be made that he was the first e-celebrity.

His comedy might have aged, but he understood his audience at the time quite well. More people, even now, know who Maddox is than Dick is. Dick has never been relevant to anyone outside of super right wing circles (even though his character allegedly lampoons mega right wing misogynistic types) because he's never been funny on that same level. He can cope and seethe and milk the Maddox shit all he wants, but Dick will never reach that level of notoriety.

I watched the Maddox vid (x2 speed, you can do it people, it’s excellently researched and good in a thread where there’s no OP) as someone who found out about Dick through Rekieta first. Like a normal person I am repelled by his shrill voice and laughter and have never been amused by anything he’s ever said. I didn’t know anything about Maddox other than a lawsuit had occurred, secondhand info etc. I was surprised at how amusing certain parts of his video were as I assume anyone associated with Masterson to be where jokes go to die. It’s evident why Dick to this day is obsessed with him, down to dating one of his ex’s

seeing some confusion regarding dick's poetry and why the handwriting is so terrible, and it's because it was actually all written backwards. He also did not give these poems to Jamie, iirc she found them in a notebook in one of his drawers when she was living with him. No idea how old they actually are, but he was at least doing the backwards writing around when he released his mystery novel

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I found the video very persuasive and informative, especially since everything Maddox claims Juju did were things we saw him do to Eric July this year, even down to disturbing a grave.
Maddox does come across as something of a sperg to me though, and I wonder whether there's another side to the issue. I assume there's a reason why everyone here took diddler Dax's side in the lawsuit and why Maddox is so intensely disliked, but I don't know it.

Because the lolsuit was so pathetic and incompetent it was hilarious. He sued Asterios for calling him a cuck. He actually had his alcoholic lawyer arguing with the judge about whether being called a cuck is defamatory. He sued some guy at Patreon for millions for just being the poor sucker who picked up the phone on his seethe call to them.

And if you read the actual suit it was complete derange-o shit.

It now seems like Diddler did a bunch of that shit in reality, but at the time it was put in such a retarded way that nobody believed anything other than the part about Maddox being a whiny cuck.

Looking back, a lot of the stuff we know for a fact Dick did to Maddox was crossing the line. The thing is a lot of it was also funny, and Maddox was being a creepy asshole too, with the whole saga of posing as a journalist to try and get 80's Girl fired and the cuck meltdown, so it became a case of may the best retard win.

I think prior to the lawsuit there was also a lot of bad blood between Maddox and the podcast fans because he always took it really seriously and seemed to get genuinely pissed off when he lost, while Dick just had fun (which was also paralleled in the lolsuit) so people were ready to see him get a dressing down.

Conversely, Eric July is just some comic guy. He seems to have a minor case of black man on the internet syndrome, but from everything I've seen of him he's pretty normal and just wants to do his comics and get paid. It's so obvious Dick is desperate for a second Maddox to make him relevant again, but when you see the tactics Dick uses against someone largely unobjectionable it's much more obvious what a massive cunt he is.

It's because Maddox is the kind of guy who doesn't feel like he's really made his point until he's called everyone who ever made fun of him a stalker nazi terrorist pedophile klan member half a decade after the fact. Sure, it's funny after a fashion, and yeah, Daxipad the Diddler is a shitbag in his own right, but they're really two sides of the same anus and deserve one another at the end of the gay.

Yeah, I think he’s a bit normie for lack of a better word. He talks about stuff that I could see people putting in a documentary. Thinking of Louis Theroux and his America First exploration, he doesn’t bother for even a second setting out why it’s bad because he’s used to an audience where everyone just hears ‘white nationalism’ and fills in the blanks. Like his patreon rant makes sense at the end makes sense from a normie view, but comes across as autistic to another audience. That kinda approach doesn’t play as well for an audience terminally online and generally untrusting. I actually appreciate that because it checks biases I may have developed since I’m aware of it.

Edit: Just caught Null’s stream and I have a better example now. The rape list. That’s something people like Null will dismiss, basically as a free speech thing, but to a normal audience his endorsement of that is a huge deal that’s bad without even explaining why. The issue is Maddox isn't going to attract a wider audience. Just worth noting.

I think this is misleading and cope.
I just listen to TDS and Biggest Problem if i have downtime to kill at work. Maddox is fun to make fun of. I never got the impression he was obsessed just pissed about what Maddox pulled and he knows making fun of him is easy content.

Even normies get sick of over the top virtue signaling about how literally everyone's a nazi and so forth when they aren't forced to pretend they care by HR. But also the most gormless and brain-rotted types would jump on Maddox himself for not censoring written usage of the nigger word in his "exposé". I think Maddox laid it on too thick and too flippantly to really resonate with the crowd you're thinking of on a moralistic level. Though besides that I think the main non-political point that'd really set off bullshit alarms for anyone paying close attention is that Maddox's whole thesis boils down to "I'm so much more successful and productive than this alcoholic degenerate stalker" until he suddenly gets to that one part near the end where he says Daxipad/juju the "stalker" has "deep pockets" that prevent Maddox from taking as much legal action as he'd like. He was so busy getting hyper-specific timestamped digs and 90s sitcom references into his 3 hour diatribe that he didn't notice how retarded that basic logical inconsistency in his narrative sounds.

You can have a million timestamped receipts and pithy one liners but that's the sort of fundamental structural oversight in an overarching narrative that doesn't pass a basic sniff test; it's a house of cards that falls apart with the slightest prodding.

it was impossible to take him seriously; same with his nasally bitchboy voice. His writing, though, was absolutely great for what it was

Agreed, credit where credit is due. The Venn diagram joke here was a pretty brutal shot at Daxipad and gave me a good chuckle.

It's so odd that he clearly understands humor on some level because occasionally he makes a really good point and delivers it wrapped in a great joke, but then he immediately follows it up with "... and you know what else? They say the NWORD!"

And he genuinely doesn't seem to get that it deflates his charisma.

That's what really gets me too. His website making fun of Nick Rekieta is a perfect example. It would have been an absolute killshot except in his little blurb down the bottom he whines about 'internet hate mobs' instead of leaving it at the mic drop mocking Balldo, which now gives Nick an out to paint Maddox as a whiny crybaby.

I honestly don't get why he pivoted towards being so PC and soft, he has to know that the people he's attempting to court with that angle will never want anything to do with him due to his past work and associations, so all it's done is alienate him from the people who did like him.

Agreed.

As somebody who follows the Rekieta thread closely, I'm not impressed with him bringing up Rekieta's black face picture in 2023. There have been soooo many other things that has happened with Rekieta since then that make for far more scathing (and amusing) criticism. That picture didn't make much of a dent in Rekieta back in 2019, and it won't now. Rekieta's audience (and prospective audience, to the extent that even exists now) isn't the type that would care.

If Maddox really wants a comeback, he needs to re-adopt the based "devil may care" attitude that made him popular in the 90s and early 2000s. The PC shit is just gonna hamstring him. I don't see him making it as a breadtuber, if that's his plan.

This too.

Ironically, Maddox's career was wrecked by the fact that he wasn't the character he played on the Internet, and Diddler's was destroyed by the fact he was.
