Powerlevel here but I have *never* had IBS because of the medication I've been on and I've been on quite a bit of medication for a very long time.
The only medicine that has given me an upset stomach in some way has been antibiotics because they fuck up your bacteria in general when they kill infections etc.

It's hard to say if he's allergic or reacting badly to whatever he is on, do we even know conclusively what he's taking? As in actual medicine names rather than simply "anti-anxiety" or "SSRI's".

My theory has always been diet mixed with stress. There's been a lot of research connecting the gut with the brain and how an unhealthy gut leads to depression and anxiety or vice versa where constant stress and depression lead to bad gut health.
