Imagine, for a second, you’re Zeith…
BACK TO REALITY: Of course, Negz is an absolute POS. We know that. The ONE AND ONLY thing I will currently concede to Sam, we don’t know Zeith. Zeith may also be a POS. He may be a great person. In reality, he probably lies somewhere in the middle, as most of us do. What we know unequivocally is that Zeith is better off without Negz in his life. But it’s a fun and interesting thought exercise to imagine our little personal weird corner of the internet through his nascent eyes. Anyway, sorry to shit up the thread. I’ve been really enjoying yalls posts. As a very long-term fan of yaba (only sometimes sam), without getting melodramatic, this has been disappointing.
ETA: Just to add, I don't hate you, yaba. Just disappointed.. and sad I had to lose one of my all-time favorite youtubers.
When you were 16, you met this weird 26 year-old creep who supplied you with drugs and alcohol. You always knew he was a creep and didn’t want your teenage girlfriends around him, but you still hung out with him. Because you’re 16, and all you want is to party and have fun.
Eventually, you grow up and can buy your own drugs and alcohol. You fall out of touch with him. You have your own personal trials and tribulations in life. You struggle through and eventually overcome addiction. Most can’t say the same. One day, after getting your life on track, you reconnect with that weirdo you knew when you were younger and go to help him out with his little shop. Because, hey, if you can overcome the past, maybe he can too! He complains to you occasionally about his weird internet beefs. Then he starts to randomly draw his gun and point it at his imaginary friends / enemies in the corner, while his child is in the vicinity. You start to have second thoughts. Then one day, everything blows up and the “friendship” is done.
You wake up at 5 AM mere days later to some private messages from a middle-aged woman you don’t know who lives in southern Indiana. She seems really nice, professional, and cordial. Not like your former “friend.” You reply. You make it clear you care most about the dude’s kids. You just wanted to do what was best. You wanted to help your friend, but he turned on you. She mirrors your sentiment. She makes you feel validated. She treats you with respect. Most importantly, she doesn’t judge you for your association with your former friend. After all, you just wanted what was best. She asks if she can share the messages with her audience, of course you oblige.
A couple days later, you have some new private messages from another woman. An even nicer woman. She may have more in common with you. You agree to go on her YouTube. You might not really understand what livestreaming is, but you agree regardless. Your wife / girlfriend helps you through the whole process. It was weird, but you enjoyed it. Your cats kept coming in the frame. It was cute. She was really nice. She even helped you make money for your time and effort coming on the livestream. You’re glad you spoke the truth so that people know you didn’t screw him over. Maybe you’ll go back and do the same for the first woman.
The next morning… all hell breaks loose. People are either explicitly stating or implying you might be racist, still an addict, a lowlife, a degenerate. Maybe the worst of all… someone who likes to hurt kids?! WTF! Where did all of this come from??? Even that first woman I spoke to is implying I might be this way??? I liked her! I responded to her! I would’ve gone onto live youtube with her too!
I wonder… if you’re Zeith, do you maybe start to rethink your opinion of your former friend? Maybe he was right to feel so paranoid and threatened by his weird internet beefs. Maybe it was those psycho women that made him this way. Is it a chicken vs. egg situation? Maybe you should have never gotten involved in any of this. Would it have been better to go back to the way things were? Maybe you wish you never did this.
