"Humans" these days are such disgusting NPCs that I don't even consider them members of the same species. They're crap. At this point, an AI is probably more intelligent than a redditor.

Many animals and things are vastly smarter than a Redditor. If you have a monkey randomly hitting buttons A and B for decisions, they will be correct roughly half of the time. If you have a Redditor making decisions, they will always press the wrong button.
Some Chinese people published a paper (PDF) where they set up a virtual company made of 25 ChatGPT bots, where each bot has a role in a game development company. After seven minutes, the bots made mostly working games, the researchers just had to tweak a few lines of code a bit. I would much rather have a company of bots than pay huge amounts of money for whiny little niggers like the Daphne voice actor who will throw a temper tantrum when you don't treat her like a queen.

Even among professional artists whom I respect, the conversation is all centered around their immediate jobs and not…how this is going to completely redefine what artists do, what they look like. In the early 20th century there were vast amounts of printmakers, linocutters, etc put out of a job due to the photograph. This is on that same scale.
You can’t rewind the clock, so instead of panicking about robots making ad-insert graphics or video game splash art, they need to be thinking about why they’re making art and what they give to society. I’m probably not being very eloquent about my point but it just infuriates me how so many artists claimed to love the art and the craft and AI has revealed them all to be in it for shallow greed, ego reasons. Not to mention that they think they’re too good to do grunt work like the rest of us. Hey, Van Gogh died penniless in a mental institution. I’m sure he railed plenty about the masses not appreciating his talent but it did him no good.

Since Ready or Not recently came out of early access (good game, by the way), it has gotten a surge of new reviews. Interestingly, one of the first reviews I saw was someone complaining about some assets in the game being generated with AI, giving the game a "not recommended" rating.
There's also some sperging on Reddit about it, because of course there is.
Intrigued, I played the second level that's in the game, and found the following. These are just some of the assets I found in the level, but you get the idea.
For context, Ready or Not is developed by VOID Interactive, a small studio based in New Zealand. They have been struggling with releasing the game for many years. I won't go too deep into it here, but the basic rundown is that it was a massive shitshow, largely due to lack of financing. It is only in the last two and a half years that they were able to secure any sizeable amounts of funds through an unexpected Steam hit in Early Access.
The level from which these screenshots come from is a neckbeard streamer who runs a child porn distribution operation in his apartment complex with some gangsters. The whole punchline is that you are entering this absolutely cringe apartment with armed thugs and the streamer himself being a wimp armed with a pistol. These AI-screeching retards really believe that VOID Interactive, that has been struggling financially for eight years with getting this show on the road, is going to spend their already limited time to meet a deadline with human-made shitposts on the wall that barely anyone is going to pay attention to. Absolutely delusional. Utterly demented, even.

There is a decent amount more than this (pretty much all the posters in the streamer house are AI, alongside the thumbnails on the TV.)
The community seems pretty unbothered by the AI, even the reddit post you linked has zero updoots and the top comment is calling the OP a retard. Thankfully even communities as brain dead as the RoN Reddit aren't that insane.

Artist e-communities are toxic. In the older days you mostly had a pity party "wah I am depressed" circle jerk. That on it's own, is the last thing I wanted to be around. But later when Twitter and Tumblr got big, this constant purity spiraling over politics, troons and the current issue got added to the mix.
When you have a field dominated by no-fun allowed joyless losers, it will show on the end products.

Majority of these people have zero sense of professionalism and act just as bad if not worse than the average hollywood celeb with an entitled ego and god complex while being surrounded by asskissers that enable and simp for that behavior
It's fucking annoying, I want to see cute art, not your takes on social issues or political stances and Japanese artists are the only people I follow because of this, at least with them I'm not constantly reminded of the current thing and yelled at to care about it and i'll gladly take seeing a photo of their food or whatever gacha game their playing than the 50th current issue repost

I really like art, and have a high regard of the crafts, but I have checked out actively following art online. Nobody, outside of the Twitter minority actually cares about the "issues". As you have mentioned, I am there for the cool/cute stuff not being preached to.
It's not even some eccentric weirdo stuff they are pushing, just shitty mainstream politics garbage and le faggot stuff. Being a troon, who rips off 80s anime, while making passive aggressive "cute" art is basically a cliché at this point. They mass produce these people. So we have Clones fighting Robots. Somebody should make a movie about that...
I have a ton of respect for Japanese artists. They actually respect the craft, and their audience as well. Also their cute and kawaii stuff feels sincere. Hell in general their art is more sincere, than the irony poisoned Twitter art. That could be just my autism speaking. Still, I like the energy and attention to details. I am giving it a shot myself, I literally just wonder how far I can go without Asian Jeans. lol

It depends heavily on the individuals whom we are discussing, after, it becomes easy to discuss who is rightfully scorned, as the only types of people on the market who are the most vocally mad at AI art:
Are the arrogant failures, that are at best, "mid-tier stagnant as shit porn art producers" and below, who can't even draw a humanized body above and below the pelvis to save their lives but can screech very well on Twitter, and have no right to discuss the subject because it's all about money to them but still do, thinking their existence on the market is valued but when in reality no one on God's green earth would ever use their art not for even the cheapest segmentation - The audacity of these people who picked up a stylus most likely last Monday and drew nothing but shit tier nudes to even consider complaining is impressive at a loss of market share, truly the bug-men of our time, fumbling the non-existent bag, just because they have 100 shit-taste coomers on Patreon.
I like art, making it and consuming it, AI art will never be art, even when we can jab the brain and extract the image into ink and paper, but it does get tiring seeing the delusional, too vocal for their own good, retards who can't even make a mediocre circle that don't understand the long journey it takes to even consider oneself as being average, come out as if they are "professional artists" when AI completes their shit of a scribble, like that faggot M. It will never be not grating how these useless cocksuckers compare themselves to artists. An actual artist breathes and lives through their work. Take that away from them, and they will practically die. Drawing scribbles for jerking and gooning is not art, and no real artist would ever willingly draw it. The only reason why an artist would ever resort to porn is if their bank account is completely blank, and need something at once. They would hate doing it and they would hate themselves for being forced to do it. The irony is that such an artist would actually be very open to the idea of using bots to do the bulk of the porn drawing. After all, all porn images are fundamentally the same. There is very little talent involved. It's a process that can be readily automated, so it only stands to reason that you would use bots to do it.
A good example of a real artist is Vangelis, the man who made the soundtrack for Blade Runner and some other films. All he did his entire life was create music. He had a very modest public presence. He just did the work as instructed for a project and that's seemingly all he ever needed. However, as he became popular in Hollywood, the executives became more and more annoying, at which point he eventually stopped creating music commercially altogether. By mid-2000s he almost completely stopped, only occasionally doing small projects like the Chariots of Fire in 2012 or Rosetta in 2016. Others simply impeded his vision from manifesting into reality, and no amount of money would convince him to do otherwise.
That's a real artist. The fact that these Xitter clowns implicitly compare themselves to someone like him makes my blood boil. They are whores for money and e-fame. They are not even in the same galaxy of talent and personal integrity as Vangelis was.

I have a theory even most twitter artists don't give a fuck about le current issues and only parrot lefty/mainstream shit just to boost their following count in the most abrasive and faggot-y way possible because it gets clicks and engagement.
A patient artist would take their time to hone their craft, attach relevant hashtags to their posts so users from certain fandoms can see then, and grow in a natural and healthy way to earn the respect from everyone without any clear division.
The impatient artist needs that dopamine rush of seeing their twitter numbers go up, so what better way to get likes and followers than posting about how heckkin validating it is to let men in women's restrooms and why donating to Am Hole surgery is good actually. General audiences be damned, twitter artists be sniffing that troon bag for cash money and dope hits no matter how degenerate and devisive it is.

You can install them in one click. I already installed Easy Diffusion and used it many times. My GPU is a crappy RX 5600 XT, but I still was able to generate 512x512 and 512x1024 images with it. You do not have to be a programmer at all to install a bot, and you don't even need particularly good hardware. If you got a 2023-recent GPU of medium power then you can probably generate 2048x2048 images without an issue.

As for being an actual artist, eh, they are just creating content to please the algorithm. For people who worry so much about AI, their personality and what they draw are already "AI" and metric driven. I became totally jaded with most of the user generated content online. Most of it feels pointless, and has nothing to say, they are only made to be made. I won't say to anybody they shouldn't do stuff, but for people who claim to be creative, please have like ideas.
