Secret Santa 2023 Showcase Thread

  • 🔧 Actively working on site again.
This is also REALLY cool. It's so awesome to see how so many went the extra mile for this, we have a real sense of community that is rare to find on the internet these days.
Yes! It's a weird detail, but it seems to me that there are way more Kiwis added to presents then in the other years, which is really wholesome and shows how much this site means to them. If I'm wrong with this observation, please don't correct me! I rather like the idea, be it true or not.

With all of the attacks in the last year I think there's a high amount of, for a lack of a better word, Kiwi patriotism going on this year.

I had so much fun participating and seeing all of the gifts behind the scenes that I think it would be awesome to do an event similar to this during the summer too! Maybe it wouldn't have to be anoyomous, but I just love seeing how many creatives we have make things for others.

Here's mine, and I love it! Basically based on my titties and doom metal prompt (also I'm pretty sure she killed someone so it ties into my good detective show prompt as well).

If you listen to South of Salem by Witch Mountain (one of the most Christmasy songs in existence) it syncs up totally as well. Thanks a ton and Merry Christmas, clay metal master!

I got two and they are both ace, they went with totally different options from my prompts and different styles and approaches, both killed it.

Firstly this illustrated poem about a feline archaeologist which is cute and wholesome as fuck, and the cat even has Kiwi helpers:

Then a dark and mysterious story, I really liked the writing style and the atmosphere it conjured up. Also it made me feel better about giving someone else a (worse written for sure) story with an unhappy ending.

I'm glad you liked it those are actual archealogist finds from this year:

I have been gifted the gift of mystery and brain stimulation.

Now I first like to say that I like the sprite work. Whoever made this is obviously very talented and animates better than anything I could do. Everything else kind of eludes me though.
It says Deja Vu at the top because I did say I like Eurobeat. My guess is that the strange creature waving peace signs around is supposed to be a V-Tuber which I mentioned as hating, but they did say it was supposed to be an Islamic shitpost so fair enough.

Why is there a meter at the top that says 300? I have no idea. I have spent my night tossing and turning trying to figure it out, and it feels like the longer I stare the more lost I get. Her boobs merging together at the end of the gift plus the background send me into a hypnotic trance.

What are those strange symbols on the right side of the piece? Is it the chat, because it's VTuber? Is it some type of slot machine, because this person has psychically determined that I really like Austin 07 even though I've never commented on his thread? Is it the Zodiac Killer's next killing location? Autists Historians might mull over its meanings as they mull over Linear A.

Very esoteric stuff.

I have been told there's another gift coming my way. I'm not one to complain. I always cut another slice of cake for myself when no one is looking.

You're welcome that was a hard one to think up. But now that you mention it it does look like a shroom trip probably.

I think one of the traps people fall into in these is trying to put everything the person listed into the gift. That stuff is there to give as many options as possible. You can just pick one or a few or whatever you want.

I do what I think I can pull off. If I think I can combine just a few elements I go for that. But if I can think of a cohesive way to combine them all I will do all interests.

@Null a couple of Secret Santa Kiwis made you gifts!

And a poem:
The Memeing Kiwis

Though not held in wide esteem,
Except by those who've joined his team,
The Kiwi plots and plans and schemes,
(When not enjoying tendied bream),
To archive lolcows by the reams,*
To output chadly, sneedful memes,
Full and bursting at the seams,
With right-wing thought and Christian themes,
Through these the cows are marked and deemed!
Through these poor posters are redeemed!
All those opposed to this do steam,
At screencaps, fonts, and red eyebeams,
With which their threads and Twitters teem,
Those like Chris-Chan, The Gunt, and Keem,
For though at first nonplussed they seem,
Enjoying favored foods with cream,
At bedtime tears from their eyes stream,
The Memeing Kiwis haunt their dreams...
*A bream is a trout-like fish, a ream is a big roll of paper.

Happy Holidays Merry Xmas Have a Merry Christmas and a Stress-Free (as if) New Year! - A Loyal Kiwi
