As far as the terrible performance of everything these days, I blame technologies like DLSS/FSR, etc. Lazy developers see these technologies and think "oh we don't have to optimize anything, they can just use the fancy new AI tech to make it run properly instead"

Hardware power isn't as important as one solid piece of hardware that has games designed specifically for it like exclusives.

The problem isn't that devs are lazy, it's that they're allowed to be lazy and people will always take the path of least resistance, especially if that path is paved with all of the money. We see that with the Switch.

The series S was a dumb idea because it signalled that MS had no confidence in its' own product or that it had any idea where gaming was going in the future. For the cost - and not just financially, of releasing a Series S and X, MS could have released a mid-ranged console and undercut Sony by £100. When the PS5 sold out, people would have happily picked up the cheaper alternative.

Power doesn't win generations, exclusives games at an attractive price point do.

Some people take it too far on both sides. GT7VR isn't the second coming of Christ, but it is the best way to play that game and any console racing game to date.
The quality of the headset, combined with the design of the controllers, make VR2 the best way to play almost all console games.
After playing Pavlov; a relatively simple shooter, I couldn't go back to flat-screen FPS. It's too wooden and boring. Pointing my guns in any direction, the realistic reloading, force triggers, two-handed controller and ability to bob and weave IRL to dodge digital attacks is fantastic.

Unfortunately, Sony haven't done enough to push VR and it's a loss to the industry.

Well, at least you can play Bloodborne and Demon Souls. Sure, you could do that on the PS4 and PS3 already, but at least you aren't forced to play the Peter Darker game. Also, start beating your brother.

I hate how most games automatically launch with DLSS/FSR on and they expect you to play it like that. I don't want to play a new game with everything being blurry 5 meters in front of you.
