By admin | December 26, 2023

Major US Carrier T-Mobile Considering Software to Monitor Private Text Messages

Breaking news has emerged regarding T-Mobile, one of the major US carriers, and its potential plans to implement software that would monitor all private text messages of citizens. This alarming development has sparked concerns about privacy and free speech among the general public.

Possible Fines for Hate Speech

T-Mobile’s new software could also result in the imposition of massive fines for individuals deemed to be engaging in hate speech. This controversial move has created further outrage, with many fearing that it could infringe upon their freedom of expression and open the door to potential censorship.

Land of the Spied Upon & Home of the Sheep

The White Rabbit Podcast, known for its critical stance on government surveillance, expressed its dismay over the situation in a recent tweet. Referring to the United States as the “Land of the Spied Upon & Home of the Sheep,” the podcast highlighted the growing concerns surrounding privacy issues.
As news of T-Mobile’s potential actions continues to circulate, the public’s response has been mixed. While some argue that monitoring private text messages is a necessary step to combat hate speech and ensure public safety, others view it as an invasion of privacy and an infringement on their civil liberties.

The Implications of Monitoring Private Text Messages

If T-Mobile were to implement software capable of monitoring private text messages, it would have significant implications for individuals’ privacy. The company would gain access to personal conversations, potentially leading to the misuse of sensitive information. Furthermore, the potential for misidentifying hate speech or falsely accusing individuals raises concerns about the fairness and accuracy of such monitoring systems.

Public Outrage and Privacy Advocacy

Several privacy advocacy groups have voiced their concerns, calling for transparency and accountability from T-Mobile. They argue that such a move could set a dangerous precedent and pave the way for further encroachments on privacy rights by other telecommunications companies.
Public outrage has also manifested through social media platforms, with many users expressing their concerns and disappointment in T-Mobile’s potential actions. The debate surrounding this issue has ignited discussions about the balance between national security, freedom of speech, and individual privacy rights.

SEO Optimization and Conclusion

In conclusion, the news of T-Mobile’s consideration to monitor private text messages and issue fines for hate speech has sparked a heated debate on privacy and free speech. This development raises important questions about the trade-off between national security and individual privacy. As discussions continue, it is crucial for citizens and advocacy groups to remain vigilant and hold companies accountable for their actions.

It's literally this being misrepresented for a clickbait thing.
It's funny because this all stems from a Laura Loomer tweet which linked to the actual policy, and if you bother to read the full policy it's just about preventing spam and unsolicited messages. Nobody read it and everybody lost their shit over nothing. Sometimes I hate the left side of the right-wing bell curve

That site isn't real like people posted before. A&N is terrible at checking the sources that confirm their biases.

Yeah, there is a grain of truth to the story but this great mind decided to pick some shit-tier fear mongering article to post. I mean it's still concerning but not quite what it's being presented as.

I mean if it was some well researched shit I wouldn't care, but this is obviously fear-mongering clickbait.

For even considering this they need to be arrested, they're conspiring to commit a crime. They have no right to essentially perform wiretaps, and no, their ToS doesn't give them magic rights to do whatever they want.

Oh look, another A&H article about something which isn't actually happening but in about 4-5 years it will be.

Can't wait until this does happen and it gets upheld by the Supreme Court since a cell phone provider is a private business! I mean why not, if Cogent can ban you from doing business with them because you do business with international cybernazi terrorist J0sh M00n, something as simple as stopping hate speech (which as we know is LITERAL VIOLENCE) is perfectly fine.

They'll never fine, ban or otherwise punish black people for texting the word "nigger" to each other. So they have to figure out which customers are black and which aren't, which is also illegal to sort & would be a huge problem in any court case where someone does a 23andMe and has legal proof they're 1% african DNA or whatever. I just can't imagine them doing anything that the NSA isn't already searching for. Seems like they're blowning smoke up someone's ass, just a question of who.

What's up with Americans using SMS? Why the fuck would they willingly communicate with this piece of outdated shit?
America very big.
Some areas bad data coverage but text work.

What a fucking pointless article. People think they should get paid for this.

lol at nigger cattle thinking it won't happen to me
We all know that you’re immune to censorship if you’re on the right side of history. I fucking hate Reddit.
So T-Mobile is going to wiretap private citizens?

Yeah this should go swimmingly for them.
The NSA has been doing this for nearly two decades. I don’t see much of a difference here unless you want to make the argument that it’s easier to stop using a single mobile provider (thus hurting their bottom line) than it is to “stop using” the government of the country you live in

ETA: Yes, child. I know the article is fake. I still expect this to happen any day now if the Cogent faggotry sliding under the radar despite being one of the worst breaches of free speech and expression in the Western world is anything to go by.

Give me an alternative that you trust please.
I'm just replying "Signal" and "Session" to see if i'm old or not. I hate that I have to have a WhatsApp for work. Those that know me use these or text, but then you need to know my often changing number.

In general, buy your phone with cash, wear a mask (for COVid!) and use a new prepaid number often. Always pay with cash. Tell the clerk you like paying cash and don't like reciepts. Your trasactions might dissappear some more. They can still get you, but don't make it easy.
Have some stupid alternte identities but strive to be just a number to the government.
If you talk about yourself, ever, throw in extra siblings or lies about where you grew up and your age. Try on identities, textual personae, "how would an X write?".
Use a totally clean line in your name at your house. Have it run youtube autoplay all the time, you were at home watching 3h videos on astronomy if anyone asks. Make a habbit of leaving your phone at home. And tie it to a cat sometimes and let the cat out for a few days.

For starters. After 30 years of internet, this is what our children should know by now, but ok, go make a tiktok for the dopamine. Think about what they are doing in the open, imagine what they are allready doing traditiitionally.

Buy a new 100€/$ phone as soon as the last one looks dumb or used, or might have your biometric data. I'm smiling into my front camera as i'm typing this, it's all a useless battle, but just giving up would be so sad.
But treat your phone like it is filming you all the time, as long as the battery is connected or/whenthere are no secret spy-batteries anywhere in the structure. This goes for all electronics.
Anyway, happy mental health day, and take some stimulants. You've deserved it, after all, YOU are the chosen One. (1)))

This is already a thing really. If you were paying attention to all the "Twitter Files" released over the year, they showed that pre-Musk Twitter was colluding with the government to censor speech they didn't like. The government is increasingly using private companies to sidestep the First Amendment.

And another company falls to DIE shit. Remember, our lolcows are trying to pass laws to make it illegal to even discuss them. Despite that will only make rumor mongering intensify even more because of the forbidden aspect of it.
