Not Just Bikes / r/fuckcars / Urbanists / New Urbanism / Car-Free / Anti-Car - People and grifters who hate personal transport, freedom, cars, roads, suburbs, and are obsessed with city planning and urban design

I lol'd. Still I wonder if urbantards will ever realise their demands for safety will just increase safety tests for cars and increase their size and weight rather than the opposite. If they weren't so focused on pure fearmongering as their one and only solution to road fatalities maybe they could take a step back and refine their messaging but I doubt it.
Literally the best way to make things efficient is to get the government out of business, if these people were smart they would know that government regulation is what makes trucks so big

Oops, it looks like those Kei trucks that r/fuckcars keeps shilling were the real death traps all along.

I am shocked, shocked I say. Could never have thought those shitty trucks that looked like kid's toys were not safe and up to standards at all. I'd feel more safe driving a fucking golf cart on the high way than one of those things down the block.

Kei cars are made by a bunch of different manufacturers and were designed to max out a cheaper class of vehicle. A lot of them are pretty miserable and scream "I am poor" but they do make more sense on narrow roads in Japan. Daihatsu in particular is known for making cheap shit, not a surprise they would skimp safety details but outright lying about it is pretty bad.

The little trucks are similarly better suited to small Japan farm roads and are made to perfectly fit the kind of produce pallets farmers there use. They don't make sense outside of East Asia generally.

Some kei cars are pretty cool, though. If you like cars the Pajero Mini is a bit of a classic and there are some really clever Kei camper vans.

These urbanist planners should start planning out their own sudokus in Minecraft.

This guy has a real punchable face. I have this sudden urge to slap that retarded looking smile off his face, and shove his noodle ass looking glasses up his ass while I stuff him in a locker (in minecraft of course)

Note: You should probably use the crew cab dimensions as comparison here, since the 13th generation F150 appears to only come in a crew cab.
I'd recommend checking Ford's website, because getting rid of the single cab would cause construction companies to have a mental breakdown

The obsession with the kei truck is weird. It's built for Asia, a very old land with very old roads. Also a place that handwaves accidents (china). It's cute, but if you brought a Japanese man over here, gave him a farm and a F-150, I doubt he'd be bitching much.

I've become convinced over the years that geek pride was a mistake after seeing what types of men it tends to attract.

I had almost convinced myself that they didn't make single cabs anymore. I was under the impression the only single cabs I'd seen were ones manufactured in an earlier year.

The only use I could think of for them would be if I had a job in an enclosed site and only if that enclosed site had paved roads, like an airport or a port or something similar. I once had a job in an industrial era with unfinished roads and lemme tell ya, you want something with decent suspension. You try to take a Kei truck on a bumpy road, you're going to bounce around in that cab like a pinball. And don't even think about taking something like that on the highway.

I can't blame you. I thought that until I started thinking about a truck myself. Basically they don't sell well enough on the 'civilian' market to be at a dealership, but companies love them because they're work trucks. You can still order one custom. Shove a monster V8 into it.

He looks exactly as he sounds and I bet he got bullied in school.
He looks like a former HS classmate of mine, dude got caught jerking off during class and never showed his face after that lmao
These retards have literally 0 understanding of wealth and how it relates to businesses, eapecially ones requiring expensive equipment. I realize we're beating a dead horse at this, but they should have negative amount of say in society. And that vegfag — bikes really are the tofu of transportation modes.

Reminds me of this Tweet I saw from some bugman from England. He is flying over farmland and saying how it's impossible that Britain has a housing crisis when there is all this land ready for any developments. Literally looking down from above either to or from some bugman trip and thinking he was super smart. These people have no actual concepts of agriculture or what actually feeds them. I know the "We get food from a grocery store" meme is said a lot but there has to be truth to it.

That was Kyle Kulinski and he is an obnoxious New Yorker wealthy suburb dweller.
If I’m thinking of the right tweet, it was someone flying over Ireland saying they could take infinite immigrants—look at all this empty land!!!!

Depending on where you live, having a sloped room means less chance your roof will collapse during a snow storm.

That and less chance of a leak.
Good point though we don't live in that kind of climate. However, with the way developments have been slapped together lately I wouldn't put much faith in a rooftop anything. We've been building on our own property and you can't fart crooked without a permit, meanwhile we've got tent cities on the damn freeway lit by personal generators and open fires, it's unbelievable. Our own house had to have a fucking sprinkler system put in for fire safety though, and we had to have a fire extinguisher mounted in our hallway to pass inspection. Ten years ago there was a property we were looking at but the grade was too difficult to build on and the environmental impact shit to go through was tough, and honestly, I didn't want to build on what was a nice little hunk of nature that floods periodically. Funny how all of a sudden all the restrictions were lifted and they're building a huge complex on it right now that's three times the size of what we would have been allowed to build. It's all shit quality too. All these giant complexes are going to fall apart in 10 years and those sites making fun of commie construction are going to have new material from the US.

fun fact: Mitsubishi made a major fuckup when calling that line the Pajero, in that "pajero" is the Spanish word for "wanker"
needless to say, they've never sold well in Spanish-speaking countries

That also reminded me of when Mitsubishi admitted to overstating fuel economy on all of their cars since 1991, kei cars included, back in 2016. That lead to Nissan taking ownership of Mitsubishi, as a result.

Daewoo had a similar fuckup, when they name one of their sedans Espero, which is Spanish for "I hope" or "I wait." They had to brand it as the Aranos in Spain.

There is a Bernie Bro to Fascist pipeline but there isn't a reverse.
People forget that Fascism originated from Italian socialists, it's far easier to go from communist to fascist and vice versa than it is to go from conservative/libertarian to fascist since they operate off of fundamentally different worldviews.
You know the thing they are missing is that "single family homes" are meant for families.
Even something as basic as a 2-up 2-down terrace is infinitely better than an apartment for housing a family, let alone a proper 3/4 bed fully detached property.
some bugman from England
If I recall correctly that would be Tom Harwood, a "conservative" political commentator who's also known as the man who pointed out that "something happened" in the late 1990s that caused British housing prices to start skyrocketing. On a completely unrelated note, Tony Blair was the PM in the late 90s and he ushered in the immigration policies that we've been using to this day, but I don't really see how the two could be related.
I believe the NA Pajero was renamed to the Montero for that reason.
It was called the Shogun in the UK market.

Saw this on Facebook.

(((They))) are trying real hard to make travel or any other former middle class amenities purely the domain of the upper class.

Travel is a wonderful thing. It's always good to get out of your bubble, your comfort zone. Loved my trips to Alaska with my dad when I was a kid
