So I've enjoyed pretty much the whole season, especially with them crushing tj last night. The most wild thing about this show is how fickle the audience is. After cole left people were harping on about how it was the end of the show but it's seemed to be night after night of shit going down. Then there's things like people still competing that the polls meaning nothing lol. At this point it feels like some folks are being willfully stupid just to whine
They obviously did not plan on having four people leave in under two weeks, and Sam was clearly sulking trying to figure out what to do after when Cole left. Stuffing the place with just a bunch of random freeloaders also seems pretty desperate. Like I can imagine Sam sitting in his car looking through the audition tapes and doing his iconic laugh as he is coming up with the name for Nifty. But I like season 2 way more because they actually have some kind of plan and not just winging it as much as they did in season 1. I don't know if the original plan was to have Sam involved this much, considering how autistic he is about time management and wanting to do other projects. But its really paying off compared to how week 2 went down.

I'm certain it helps that World Peace 2 isn't being filmed at the same time, so Sam can do some more tard-wrangling of production.

Lets be real, what kind of projects get done between Dec 15th and Feb 1st? This time period is largely a void on the calendar for almost every industry on the planet aside from retail, Sam probably already expected to be present the whole time, just maybe sitting in the basement most of the day chilling. I think what is more impressive is the pivot they had to do because of the contestant losses. Its pretty clear that Taylor was never meant to exist, it was going to be Summer that was supposed to be coaxed into leading TJ on and the original elimination was going to be a real Griffith moment for TJ. Instead they had to drum up a Zoomer succubus girl to be a freeloader to fill the void, Sam kept calling her Summer, even during the elimination he did this. . The problem with this was that nobody really gave a shit about a freeloader getting eliminated, only the moment's effects on TJ. Pretty impressive they could source a girl on such short notice that was willing to tolerate the bizarre conditions of the show and was capable of convincingly getting TJ attached to her.

I'm very impressed with how they utilized her with the short amount of time that she was on the show. Kind of a fantasy vs Reality dilemma going on for TJ if you will. As for convincingly getting TJ attached, I wouldn't think its the hardest thing to do. There's a fair amount of times that a woman can be nice to us just out of courtesy and that's all it takes for us to question if that person likes us or not.

Damn I didn’t think about that. Imagine if TJ had the chance to backstab an actual contestant instead of some random lady who had one foot out the door anyways. That would have been so much more brutal.

I hope when the show is over they privately take Shinji aside and explain to him what all went down with Summer. None of the contestants know just how bad shit really got with her after she left and Shinji has mentioned wanting to reconnect with her when the show is over. That girl will destroy him. He needs to be warned.

It's unbelievable to me that anyone actually suspects any of these people are 'paid actors' after the stand-up sets.
You would be surprised that even top tier comedians like Dave Chappelle bomb quite frequently. Its just that he has an added difficulty of people laughing at ANYTHING he says so determining if a bit is quality is hard. The fish are trying to fill a set in a short timeframe while being subjected to bizarre stuff like the hotdog vomiting session. The experience in the fish tank would be a good story later in life, trying to make fun of stuff while in there is hard. Just getting thrown up on a pedestal and told to be funny for 5 minutes is agonizing even for experienced comedians and actors, just go look at the woman version of the Ghostbuster flick, the director would just go tell them to be funny and start recording. Comedy takes time to develop the timing for it.
