Also having kids you can't afford.
No one is being kept in poverty due to communism in the US, but plenty are by kids they can't afford.
Dead women and girls and fucked up kids with permanent brain damage from being neglected/abused since infancy. Also dead kids too from being shaken/beaten/etc to death by parents who never wanted them.
That or women leaving the country en masse (or at least getting sterilized).

Undo liberalism and the problem will go away on its own within one generation. Before egalitarianism spread like a plague, most civilized nations had fairly stable population growth even in spite of astronomically higher infant mortality rates due to poor medical technology. Even after the bubonic plague it did not take long for Western Europe to repopulate.

Egalitarianism encourages people to obsess over wealth, and children are expensive. Particularly when you don't have one parent that's dedicated to child rearing, and is instead in the labor market driving down the wages of the other parent.

US should have a proper welfare state in place to help those in need and make sure children grow healthy with plentiful food, exercise and education.

As a last resort it would be necessary if they want to continue to exist as South Korea and not just a new country, but there's other ways to simply incentivize procreation, which they're not doing enough of.
They really have 3 final choices, assuming they either don't or unsuccessfully try to incentivize consensual procreation:
1) Let the country collapse with its dignity
2) Mass importation of foreigners, reshaping South Korea
3) Adopt a "childbearing draft"
In order of likelihood, it's 2, 1, 3. Modern, civilized people would rather have their life upended or just plain ended than be called a mean word like racist or sexist, so they will undoubtedly drown themselves in immigrants or maybe go down with the ship (which would be interesting to watch as a case study and warning nobody will heed).
