New Year new perspectives, lads, ladies and Nbs! It's important to see how people outside of Lily's bubble and us see her videos. We get why she does the things she does. We get Poke-madhouse and Bonnie. But when someone doesn't it turns out like so:

Lily's advice isn't bad at times, but he suffers from the same problem that every other decently popular reviewer online does. In which they can point out what's wrong within a work like captain hindsight, but can't provide any suggestions on what they could do to make it better. His Steven Universe review more or less articulates why the show's shit and becomes shittier over time, but is incapable of giving pointers as to how it can be made better. Compare that to another fairly popular SU review breaking down the shows poor scene composition problem (I'd link it here but I can't seem to find it, sorry!) and what one could do to fix that and you can really see for yourself just how much Lily, and certain reviewers in general, love talkin' shit over actually wanting things to change.
Mix this with his eloquent way of describing things like he's perpetually pissed off and it's no surprise why even people outside of Kiwifarms and other gossip forums find him insufferable.
Also, sorry to sound like a newfag or like I'm bitching but I'm genuinely curious as to why everyone seems to be using she/her on Lily. KF isn't exactly the most trans friendly place on planet Earth so this detail did stick out to me lol.

That is a very succinct way of putting it. The review I believe you're thinking of is Robobuddies, where she pointed out a ton of visual problems with the show, but also showed good examples both in and out of SU, and suggested ways of making scenes look better. It's easy to fling shit at a show but it takes actual critical thought and experience to suggest how it could be improved. Lily never does this because she possesses neither of these things, and ironically she lifted a bunch of surface level points from Robobuddies video which resulted in a brief spat between them back in 2018.
Despite her recent mass deletion I doubt her most well performing video will be taken down for plagiarism reasons sadly.
It's down to preference I think, the argument's been had so many times on this thread that it isn't worth having anymore. Me personally I just do it cause it's what I'm used to, I never watched her videos while she was Jerry. She'd still be an asshole no matter what pronouns she used.
Plus, on the surface level Lily might be one of the least repulsive trans people featured on this site, mostly because she stopped posting pictures a long time ago and the most interesting content from her has nothing to do with that aspect of her identity. People are more frustrated that she claims to be a part of certain groups (native tribes, cancer survivors, etc.) and uses those groups as a shield.
After a while it becomes redundant to show up and say "ew a tranny" on this thread because that's the least interesting thing about Lily. If she was an abusive lying scumbag racefaker who groomed her fans and had a closet full of skeletons, while also posting about her neo vagina constantly than people would probably deadname her more.
The funniest trans content to come out of her was probably her constantly demanding "thin busty proportions" in fan art despite long becoming a fat dough boy irl.

You're probably thinking of Robobuddies' video. Unfortunately I think she wound up the target of a harassment campaign a few years back and scrubbed her internet presence.
Thing about Lily's longform critique is that she steals most of her good points from other people-- in this case you correctly remember that the front of her SU video was largely lifted from Robobuddies, with cribbing from E;R regarding fusion as a metaphor for sex. When Lily 'critiques' something she basically just parrots the videos that were more popular and properly articulated their points, adds nothing because she doesn't entirely understand those points, and then uses them as a trojan horse to shovel in her noxious, deranged opinions in the latter half.
Personally I do it for the benefit of people who land on the thread looking into information on Lily.
Ex-fans have come by the thread looking for information on the rumors about her and been surprised to learn that the 'vultures' aren't actually just engaged in a 'lol tranny' circlejerk. Lily likes to throw her transness around as a shield, that we all just hate her for being a Strong Trans Lesbian of Color, so the fact that the thread (largely) respects her name and pronouns and never brings up any of those adjectives unless Lily does immediately denies her the deflection. I don't care what Lily goes by; she's a bad person no matter what pronouns she uses.

The Sai videos were so good, I really appreciated them being linked. I hope she continues to upload more content her voice is very cozy to listen to.
I never watched Utena just knew the references when I saw them so it was fun to watch her eviscerate Lily trying to own SU for using it as an art reference and then get everything wrong.
