I've gone back and forth on this over the years. The whole thing is absolutely fraught due to the fact that MJ was simultaneously worth a ridiculous amount of money but also frankly socially retarded. He was surrounded by cunts who only wanted the $ no matter what, including that 'doctor' who killed him. No decent parent just lets their kids sleepover at a middle aged man's house unless they're expecting a return in either gifts or a lawsuit payout.

Socially retarded was the least of MJ's mental issues. Dude was so fucked in the head people will probably be speculating what exact diagnoses he had for centuries. Knowing what we know about his childhood, you can see exactly how he got so fucked up.

Ultimately, I think the biggest takeaway from his life is that no kid should ever be treated like he was. Joe Jackson deserves to suffer for eternity for how he treated his kids.

Not to get too off-topic, but RazörFist of all people did a really meticulous analysis of the prosecution's case against MJ and it was absolute garbage. Now, I always thought this but I hadn't known it was as atrociously bad as it was. I'm feeling weird. I read a lot into the allegations and know that they were always far-fetched. 1993 had a civil case where the weird dad of the kid demanded a cash settlement (not jailtime) and purpotedly drugged his son with barbiturates before the case started. 2003 case had a weird mom that kept changing her story and only couldn't get a civil case cause the 1993 trial led to a change in statute. It was also scandalized with a sensationalized UK documentary. There was also some NAMBLA beaner journalist that was in the contact with the first accusers family. A lot of ex-Neverland employees that lied for tabloids (pedo MJ news was all the rage). All accusers seemed to be motivated by money in some fashion, including the two fags from the HBO documentary. It always seems to be all over the place.

But then I also read about all the crazy shit that happened around the time. The Finders cult. The Franklin child prostitution scandal. The Craig J. Spence sexual blackmail ring. Frank Fuster. The dad in the Friedmans' case was an actual pedo. And shit, even McMartin had a separate archeological inquiry that pointed towards something being there. Terrible things happen and we just don't know.
I don't think he did it, but the whole industry surrounding him was/is messed up. It's hard to be certain about anything.
