This word especially is south indian, somewhere between Tamil and Telugu, closer to Tamil I would say. The word "amma" refers to mother in most south indian languages, the "kalavath" part I dont know. Ive never heard of it, the closest Ive heard is "Kalavathi" which translates to "talented woman"/"skilled woman" but I dont think that fits here. This is why kids you shouldnt be a retard and play around with other peoples languages, you come across like a retard. Its like me saying "ein tausand juden das welten Toden".

EDIT: BTW, this reminded me of a similar case of suburban property-tunneling in nearby Bethesda, which ended with a fire death and a manslaughter conviction for the homeowner. Is there something about the D.C. 'burbs that inspires this sort of human-mole behavior?

Latest video (posted 6 days ago) confirms that he was ordered by city officials to halt the project, but he thinks that it "shouldn't be too hard" to get permits and approval to continue (lol). Absolutely insane, great thread.

with zero info about them given going off of very random videos, I assumed they were European. like a very hard ass European woman - maybe her relatives would be like Russian nomadic types. I did not get "Indian" at all so that info is new and very funny since they're also not Indian either.

I guess in my head I think Russians or maybe Polish or Ukrainian women would have both the time, strength and available education to start building random tunnels in their house. I guess I also figured that there's a lot of laws in the America or UK to sort of prevent this from happening and that they would've needed to be in a very stoic type area to pull this off (thus, Russia).

I would less believe now that an Indian woman would do this because it's not in the culture. I'm not saying women couldn't achieve this level of autism but imo you need a very interesting set of circumstances for it to happen with the "right type".

i suppose it's just a really strange accent they've made up - maybe that's just their extremely autistic voice with a slight pitch change and it's not even on purpose, which I could believe.

but the whole software engineer, trans, doing weird obnoxious autistic shit now makes everything make sense and the world is correct once more for me.

Same here - I assumed "Kala" was a mutt mix of Slav and maybe Canadian or specific Midwest (like N. Minnesota/ND). Now that I know he's a man, the deliberate, sounding-each-word-out retard accent reads only as "man trying his best at female voice" but thinking about every syllable. Also notice that he only does voiceovers for his videos, so the audio probably takes several takes and endless editing to get right.

Personally, I was relived to find out he was a trans. I'm willing to believe that there are women mentally ill enough to do what he does, but I refuse to believe that any real woman would broadcast it to the world in the way he has chosen to. The Dylan Mulvaney effect is real.

I can't tell if his autism voice is coming in so strong even the voice changer can't compensate or if he's leaning into the autism voice for flair.

I was talking with a friend about this & she brought up that Matt Walsh made a video two years ago about how digging tunnels is male behavior and not a thing women do or understand.


Love when men try so hard to pretend to be women but can't leave behind their male interests and actions (see also: how every woman in the video game speedrunning community is actually a man)

^This isn’t the exact same area as where the troon is building. The soil isn’t the same either, but it can give you an idea of the kinds of problems that can happen with building a tunnel through soft rock.

I’d also be concerned about subsidence in his house. Water takes up space. When you dewater ground, that space gets filled by rock/soil. The ground above sinks down. Any building above it gets cracks. His neighbors won’t like that.

If he keeps digging, at some point a chunk of that soft rock (it’s actually called saprolite, which is like rock that is turning into soil. It’s much softer than bedrock) is going to break off and hit him in the head. I hope he’s filming when it happens and the footage finds its way to Krudplug.

What I don't understand is why the fuck you'd ever be talking to a city inspector about it!? I mean, it doesn't have to be top secret, but local government, and by extension the cops/SWAT, is the ONE entity that should not know about it?

I don't think there's a situation where some city inspector doesn't get involved even if he keeps his mouth shut. The guy is using a jackhammer 20 feet under his neighbor's bedroom and dumping tons of busted rock into a roll off all day every day. Nosy neighbors or no, some stalker child somewhere is eventually gonna blab and it's probably for the best, lest his tunnel collapse under someone else's property. As for him specifically, he strikes me as the type who would eulogize about his hobbies for as long as one would entertain him.
