Despite being terminally online, Lucas doesn't bother to use a search engine to find out you don't bathe guinea pigs. Bathing them gets rid of the natural oils their fur needs, similar to cats in a way but less dangerous for the cat. Pick up the proper shampoo and give them a good cleaning once every two months and they'll be fine and be sure the cage is always clean. Brushing them also helps limit the need for a bath. Males though will need a frequent cleaning of their glands though so they wont smell.
I wouldn't eat Hasenpfeffer, I found them as a baby and taken care of them since than. I just can't keep them as a pet because of the laws here. So they're outside and get a nice raised heated bed and good food. My cats are usually with it too so I don't have to worry about any birds of prey here catch it.
Normally I thought rabbits as food too (hence the name) until I found this little one in a playground at night with no one around other than some coyotes in the area so I took it in. Now it has a huge backyard to forage in and not worry about predators. Also not a pet. It's illegal to own wild animals here.Oh shit, I'm sorry! I didn't even consider checking out the Asian stores. There's plenty of those around, I'll have to make a run and see what I can find! I usually pass right by the meat area and over to seafood because they tend to put tripe and othergarbageexotic cuts front and center.
