On facebook I got another nigger nightmare meal. The woman made her "world famous" wet burrito. Twelve different seasoning bottles poured onto ground beef. No onion, no lettuce, just boiled ground beef because she overcrowded the pan.

Bagged tortillas I'll give her a pass on, I sure as shit don't make my own, but the sauce. Dear fucking god, the sauce.

She took plain tomato sauce from a can, and combined it with jarred brown heinz gravy.

 
As a Chinaman I disagree with your first statement.
Please do not compare the Westernized goyslop labeled as "Chinese food" with authentic, regional Chinese cuisine. (Unless it's Sichuan food. Those peppercorns gives the flavor of painkillers, a complete numbness and loss of taste.)
I wholeheartedly agree with your second statement.
Sichuan cuisine is exactly what I was thinking of when I made that statement. The chili oil they use just overpowers all other flavors in my experience.
 
Have you ever quit drinking soda and cut way back on sugar and then had a Coke? It tastes disgustingly sweet.
I stopped drinking soda AND started eating less sweets in hopes to lose weight in '21. Some sweets are no longer palatable, but Cola is still fine, and I also can not eat lots of fruit now because they taste disgustingly sugary(
And what I lost, I regained entirely on my gut while on meds this year.

Tbh you pretty much described a mexican burrito. Just meat. Burritos with other shit in them seems to be an east coast thing...I guess.
 
Nah man, with Mexican food you've got to elevate the meat. For instance, Carne Asada is best when it's a mix of savory and citrus, be that orange juice, lime juice, mixed with soy sauce. A lot of Mexican food restaurants are slipping by forgetting the citrus and going heavy on the soy.

To call what that bitch did in her video a Mexican burrito means there is probably already a green light on your ass, and I'm sorry.

A wet burrito is nearly retard proof.

You sweat some onion until it turns golden in the pan, stir in some garlic, let it get fragrant, so you've got a nice fond on your frying pan. You toss it in a bowl, then brown the meat with your seasonings of choice.
Then you recombine the veggies in the meat and let them cook for a little bit, so the flavor mixes. That's it, that's your base. Rolling a burrito can be done in two seconds, and she didn't.
You top that shit with red or green sauce, NOT FUCKING GRAVY, and then melt some cheese over the top. Traditionally a white cheese, but some people get their nose bent out of shape because they want cheddar.

Yeah no offense but I wouldn’t put soy sauce in a Tex-Mex dish. Any restaurant that does so is probably using Sunny D in lieu of freshly squeezed orange juice. And most niggers would probably approve.
 
Anyone else become highly aware of "black owned businesses" that sell food in the local area?
Not just that, but I've noticed an inverse correlation between the quality of the food/experience and how much they toot the horn about being black owned.
e.g. There's a brand called "Cracker King" that sells excellent cheese crackers. While it's black-owned and even has a black guy in a crown as the logo, the brand's "story" is all focused on the creator and his family. It's very cute.

I wonder sometimes if this leads to "concept mistranslation" where two people can say the same word and have internal models that are so different it causes a problem.

No, it tastes like Chinese cuisine that's been consumed by a fat Yankee and regurgitated up.
It is also quite unhealthy and most of it is prepared very badly and thus, greasier than an oiled pig.
As a Chinaman, I refuse to eat goyslopified Chinese cuisine because it is not Chinese cuisine.
It is simply mislabeled American food.

Actually the goyslopified stuff is/was also very sus.

My maternal grandparents actually refused to buy me takeout or take me restaurants when I was staying in China with them during the summers all those years ago. The only exceptions were a few restaurants where my grandparents had known the owners for a long time and knew their moral character. My grandfather is the one who started my interest in cooking but my mother was the one who taught me most of the recipes I know, which are actually just my grandfather's recipes.

If you believe gutter oil to be bad, then get ready to never want to eat Chinese cuisine (from CCP land) again. Taiwan is fine as health and safety is much stricter but I'd personally go to Singapore/Malaysia for Chinese cuisine.
