People keep insisting that being right-wing now is countercultural. It's more like an edgy and cool thing to do.
NEETs/Losers/Basement dwellers on gravitate towards right-wing/far-right politics because it's edgy, it gives them a sense of belonging and a feeling that they're powerful and feared (nobody fears basement dwellers, ever).
Children and manchildren in 1960s and 1970s would be like "Everyone around me is a fascist, their God isn't real, their religion is a load of bullshit, capitalism is abhorrent, all cops are nazi pigs, viva la revolucion!"; children and manchildren nowadays go "Everyone around me is a commiefaggot, socialism doesn't work, diversity is a load of bullshit, total nigger death now, heil Hitler, gas the kikes!"
I think most will mellow out and drop those views in 20-30 years and be soy-infused cringy cons/libs with no edgy opinions.
