I'm glad it's not deleted. I don't find phil interesting at all, but removing it might set a precedent and even the mentally disabled need a place to discuss stuff. It's humorous that the thread was flooded with shit though.

Unless the farms gets in hot water because something criminal is posted here why does it matter? If the crime was conducted by someone unrelated to the farms then what is wrong with discussing it? You could point to a lot of examples of crimes that are talked about here.
And all that people can do is "whataboutism" because it doesn't make sense why it's okay to laugh at fatties unless it's a fatty married to Phil.
To put in this way - Your position is very frustrating, it's like Babylon 5, you have all these various groups that have a safe haven here and whatever decision you make it will piss some people off. You will find over the years that one way works best over another and do something like allow sock accounts then a limey like Godwinson will say "Null is allowing socks he is a tard" as if it's easy to run a large forum and as if every decision is black and white.
But that is also how it feels to enjoy DSP content. I follow a lot of cows here and the various threads are left alone to post and enjoy themselves, but the DSP area is under constant thread of being nuked, and it's very frustrating because everyone outside of the detraction circle assumes the worst without knowing what goes on in there and the group has no way to show them that it's no different from the rest of the farms. You are talking about a complex ecosystem of people around Phil and taking a post you don't like and then painting everything with that same brush.
And you have influence as well. Every time you say DSP sucks and the people who enjoy discussing him sucks you turn more people against the group until eventually they are completely unwelcome by the greater community here. Then what, they have to splinter off and make their own forum and a bad taste is left in everyone's mouth. Is the DSP area really so bad that it has to be removed? I think the jannies do a good job there, not that there is much for them to do other than when Bryan comes to visit.
Well you could say that it's illegal to hunt someone down to beat them up for a start and I bet you if I wanted to I could find posts of people laughing at what Cog did to Ralph and saying he deserves it for being a fat pig.

Just close the dsp forum and give them a single thread in Internet Famous or something. Phil doesn't do remotely enough these days to warrant an entire forum.

This'll probably be my last post in this thread (till it picks up again after the ban waves end), but I think I've picked out the detractor brain rot. There is a very specific form of autism in places like the Sektor and the Farms where some people are incredibly fixated on one individual to an unhealthy degree and DSP watchers seem to have this autism cranked up to 11. Say their obsession is uninteresting or that you think they're overly invested, and they believe that it isn't simply that you're uninterested. No, you must be guntguarding / sweeping it up / etc. There is no way that their behavior is aberrant. Due to this, there is not a single argument you can make that will make them understand why people don't like them and why the autism that board attracts could fuck over the entire site. They're too autistic for that. It doesn't help that seemingly most of them only stay in the DSP thread, so they start assuming they're just like the rest of the site. It's why they can't understand the fact they're another place for containment just like Spergatory.
Personally, this is the most I've seen of them in a single day and it has only affirmed my belief that they're mostly retards.
TL;DR: DSP posters fail this site's version of the "how would you feel if you didn't eat breakfast" question. They also can't rotate apples in their minds. It's just full of Phil.

I personally enjoy watching DSP be DSP, but his detractors and alogs are some of the worst kinds of people there are. I absolutely don't get involved in conversations about him anymore because I find a majority of people are extremely fucking annoying about it.
I think it's worth keeping a thread on him despite my dislike of engaging with people. As long as the thread doesn't become part of the problem.

I tried to be nice but this circling around is no longer funny. DSP fans seem entitled to have the entire world. They are "a victim of circumstances that can't be prevented or stopped and it's all our fault that the forum doesn't get high traffic." If you can't control it maybe it is time to cut it off. If criminality is just going to happen and "man o man what can we do" is the only answer, why have the risk.

Yeah, I agree, if we have seen everything from the Pigroach in 2024, he just falls off and aged horribly. Rarely ever you would see an actually hilarious moment of him being absolutely LULZY in front of his live chat, and he just never changes, rendering him very much tedious and torturing to watch. Most of the time you would just see him rambling and strictly moderating the chat, and begs nonstop...

And it did. Especially now that he barely plays any game now. Every new playthrough it's just him reading instructions that some weird fan sent him.
I'm not even as active as I was in the subforum nowadays because of that. He doesn't even rage at video games anymore (except when he's playing SF6. That's some good salt if you're ever interested). I feel like BMJ is a way more interesting lolcow than Phil rn.
