I still wonder why the Ukrainian officials didn't just deport CRP after the first arrest in April of '22. This whole thing reminds me of Bald&Bankrupt being detained by Russians in 2022 shortly after entering the country. He was arrested because he criticized Russia when he was in Ukraine at the beginning of the war. He was forced give an apology and confess his "wrongdoings" to the Russian police. Afterwards he got released and issued a lifetime ban from Russia.

The Ukrainians could have done the same thing but I feel like they wanted him to continue to talk shit about their country/government so they could have enough evidence to punish and sentence him. If I was in their place I would have said: "Look Gonzalo, here is the deal, we give you a one way ticket to Poland/Slovakia/Hungary and you will never enter Ukraine again and in exchange we'll drop all the charges against you".
